Best burgers in Ghent! Something for everyone as you can sub in chicken, beans or beyond patties for any of the 15+ craft burgers or build your own. Several sandwiches, hot dogs and appetizers to satisfy the picky eater. Decent beer on draft, nothing great in bottles. Lots of cocktail options if that’s your thing.

This place wasn’t too bad. The waitress was friendly. There were only about 3 tables of people when we arrived. It took awhile for our appetizers to come out. We ordered the giant pretzel. It was pretty good and we weren’t asked what sauce we’d like. We were given queso cheese and mustard. I got a cocktail. It wasn’t great. Tried the burger and a side salad. They forgot the sauce on my burger. My side salad was very small. The bowl it came in was even smaller. Making it a pain to eat. My mother had the Mac and cheese and chicken strips. They mac and cheese was a bit dry and the chicken a bit burnt. I would say the reviews make this place seem bad but I suggest you try them for yourself.

First time there, very impressed with large varied food and beverage menus, espescially vegan considerations. My son got the Beast Burger and sweet potato fries, I the Blue Burger and roasted brussel sprouts. We got the blackberry & blueberry blend cider, and agreed it was great. Both burgers were delicious, perfectly cooked medium- rare, juicy, with the toppings as described. The waffle-cut sweet potato fries good enough to be dessert. The brussel sprouts were out of season, tiny, so easily overcooked.
Jess, manager/bartender/server and Sean, the cook, were terrific. The interior was of currently popular “warehouse district chic”, well spaced tables & chairs very comfortable, but probably noisy when full of people. We’re definitely going to become regulars.

Exceptional service, classy & clean, great variety on the menu! My white sangria was so good, I ordered a second. It was Tuesday Burger & (draft) Beer night for $20. Burgers are Waygu beef and mine was prepared just as ordered. Highly recommend the Jammin’ Goat for a little spicy twist to your burger. There are also options for a lettuce wrap vs bun and substitute tots or Brussels or other things for a side. Brussel sprouts weren’t as crispy as I would make at home but they were still good. Only critique is that this establishment is tucked off of the main road and can be a little hard to find, but put in the work because it’s worth it!

If youre looking for a chill spot to hang out with friends, look no further. My husband and I came to this place for a date night and was not disappointed. Its very spacious and I dont know who the cook was but he absolutely knows how to work the kitchen. There is a nice bar with tvs so you can watch sports. The booths are comfortable. Also, ask for a guy named Josh. He is really chill and knows how to tackle the day. I hope this company gives him a raise because he’s an absolute badass.

I found Barrel 17 on Google, had a good date night with the wife. Their burger selection was really good, chicken tenders were very good. I got a double bacon cheeseburger and it was amazing, very tasty and hearty. The service was unfortunately lacking, It took a while to get my order in, had to get up and get my own utensils. Wasn’t really checked on, and truly felt ignored. But in my servers defense, she was taking care of the bar as well as the tables. Wasn’t very busy but I get it. Although I saw her check on other tables and customers multiple times while I was checked on only once while there. Could have been just one of those nights for her, but I would suggest maybe getting an additional server. I will try again in the future and update my review. The food was really good though.

Really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts and sweet potatoe fries. My drink was delicious. Food was good, just needed a bit more flavor. The restaurant has ample seating, just a bit chilly inside. Will definitely come back to try other menu items.

Watched the cook, eat food out of the fryer, and pour himself drinks from the bar (with no gloves). The server did not even acknowledge us and was on the phone the entire time we sat there without being served or even a hello (we waited about 15 minutes). There was about 15 people in the establishment. I will not be coming to this place ever again or recommending it to anyone ever.

Don’t skip out on this restaurant/bar, the food was delicious! Absolutely fabulous Wagu burgers and a great selection of appetizers will ensure we will be back! Do yourself a favor and get the Brussel sprout side or appetizer, the dish is a solid 10!
