This place is by FAR the best Cuban/Caribbean food you can find in the area. I moved from Tampa where good Cuban food is plenty, but Pinellas is really lacking. Barracuda Cafe is absolutely exceptional. The Mojo Pork dish is my go-to and I cannot get enough of it. It comes with a salad to start and I get red beans. I also get a side of plantains. Cortadito or two with sugar. One of the best meals you can have. The staff is very sweet and checks in often; the prices are very fair.
They’re moving and renovating to a new location further north off Seminole Blvd and I’m very excited to see the new place when it opens in March.

We decided to try this place… took a bag to go… went home with it, sitting outside and enjoying it. I’m so glad we did! The food is fabulous! The salad is so fresh and the Cuban sandwich … we give it a 10 out of 10!

– The Cuban is also amazing. Not too greasy, tons of meat and condiments. Amazing portions. We ordered the “large” version, and were given 3 cuts of the sandwich. I could only finish one, and my partner finished two. Perfect to take home for a meal next time.

Excellent mom and pop restaurant. Very eager to please, generous portions, very reasonable prices. I had fun with the waitress / owner helping me with my horrible Spanish. If I lived in the area this would definitely be a regular for me. Try the barracuda sandwich… It’s a hit!

OMG…the Cuban is the best I’ve had in Pinellas. So flavorful and the portions are immense. I got it for takeout and when I got home I thought my order was wrong because it weighed so much. I opened it up and immediately started salivating. There were 3 cut sandwiches. Yay! Leftovers for tomorrow. The bread was pressed crispy and the pulled pork was juicy and flavorful. Amazing. Amazing Café con Leche, bold and smooth with the perfect amount of pickup after a large meal to continue your day. Their Cuban is huge, homemade, and served with generous side portions. It ranks in the top 5 for the Tampa-St.Pete area, probably top 10 for S.Florida, in general. Definitely will be coming back and indulging more, the pric is unbeatable for the portions served.
