Absolutely delicious! My wife and I visited Peru back in December and our standards for Peruvian food are quite high and this place stands amongst the best! It’s tiny so be prepared to wait, but worth every minute!! Apart from the food being incredible, lively salsa music playing in the background and welcoming staff, it’s more than just lunch or dinner it’s an experience!

Every bite is not only delicious but beautifully presented. The staff is incredibly kind, and the food is amazing with very reasonable prices — a refreshing change from the typical Miami scene. Will definitely be back soon!

We recently had the chance to try a Peruvian Nikkei pop-up, and it was absolutely incredible. The fusion of Peruvian flavors with Japanese technique was executed beautifully—fresh, vibrant, and full of personality.
Every dish felt thoughtful and unique. The sushi was beautifully crafted, with the clean, delicate Japanese style complemented by bold Peruvian influences. You could really feel the creativity and care that went into each plate.
It felt like discovering a hidden gem—one of those meals that stick with you.
We loved it and would 100% go again. If you’re a fan of Nikkei cuisine or just want something fresh and different, this is a pop-up for you on Mondays and Tuesdays.
We’re already planning our next visit to try their regular menu.

Counter only dining. I was alone, so there was no wait for me. A couple was waiting for an hour before they were able to be sat.
Very good Sake options.
Now the food is next level. Small portions, so unless you’re a small eater like I am or just not that hungry don’t come here expecting to leave full. The food is exceptionally fresh and prepared with such artistic style that it transcends being a plate of food.
That being said, I came by myself I had the fish ceviche of the day and the blue crab causa, plus a half bottle of Sake and my bill was $100. I’ll come back but only by myself and only when I want to indulge.
Excellent elevated dining in a strip mall on the backside of Aventura. Highly recommend if you don’t mind spending money for an elevated Counter experience.

The service here is very “nose-up,” which is a bit disappointing. You can only order once, and once you’ve done that, you can’t order anything else. We left the restaurant feeling hungry.
The ceviche was okay, but there are better options out there. The scallops with cheese were good, but mostly because of the cheese.
I know some people like this place, but if you’re familiar with the service and can accept it, go ahead. Otherwise, there are much better places in the area.

Came here with my boyfriend and we shared a bunch of hand rolls and ceviche. This restaurant was incredible the food was on point as was the service. I do recommend a reservation since it’s limited seating. The music was also really good not too loud. Will definitely be going back again. There was one hand roll with scallop and Parmesan cheese that truly was phenomenal. The staff was also really kind and great efficient but we didn’t feel rushed out.

very few places surprise me anymore this place is not great it’s extraordinary I actually had to wait wait for about 30-35 minutes to be seated Believe me it was totally worth it . The server Cynthia welcomes you like a friend you arriving her house and you’re the guest of honor she quickly explains the rules you can only order one time and everything is served as it comes out they have a sure menu and everything looks extraordinary I simply aske for seafood ceviche mild and a glass of wine. no fancy sauces clean presentation. and a explosion of flavor fresh ingredients, the owner behind the counter and every dish willing and friendly answering questions and making sure his team is on point. go wait enjoy. and listen to the best old school salsa

When a restaurant has a 5-star rating with close to 2000 reviews I tend to think something is rigged. But having just tried Barra Callao I can tell you this place is the real deal. You would never know because tucked inside this generic looking storefront in a sad looking strip mall is some of the best and most creative fish, ceviche and crudos you will find anywhere…certainly in the Miami area.
We enjoyed the 7-8 things we had, but the ceviche, sashimi tuna ginger and the cilantro seafood rice were standouts.
Not only did the chef learn his craft in Peru, he also spent significant time in San Sebastián, the food Mecca. It explains a lot.

The best ceviche and sashimi I’ve ever had. Every single dish was bursting with flavour and blew us away. All the ingredients, especially the fish tasted so fresh. Just a matter of time before they get a Michelin star.
Was a bit hard to find, had to circle the block a few times. Recommend looking at the street view to try to locate it as they only have a led sign on the window.
We waited about 15 minutes at 3pm on a weekday for 2 people. Would recommend making a reservation to avoid long waits for larger groups.
Will absolutely be returning!

My new favorite spot for date night in miami. 1000% recommended. The ceviche didn’t make it to the photo because we just had to eat. Make sure you order it!
