Barra Brava is an amazing Peruvian spot! We tried the ceviche, arroz de mariscos, yucas and chicha morada, all absolutely delicious! It truly felt like being back in Peru. The best part was that we didn’t have to wait long for our food

The staff was super friendly and welcoming too. Definitely recommend this place!

Terrible experience overall. The seafood did not taste fresh, the causa didn’t taste anything like causa, and the arroz con mariscos was downright disgusting. On top of that, the service was inattentive — no one seemed to care For a $74+ seafood platter, I expected much better quality. Definitely not worth the price — I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone at all.

It was my first time in this restaurant, it is a small place with a good atmosphere, we liked the food and the variety of seafood they have, you can have a beer and enjoy their food, but unfortunately I will give them 2 stars because the service is terrible, The waiter did not help us to understand the menu better, and he was not attentive either. I think that I would have consumed more if he had served us better, we even asked another waitress if she could bring us another drink and that never came, in the end my wife and I we left because no one was helping us. For what they charge they should improve their service. Next time we will order to go.

Tips are not optional they make you pay 18% for a bad service.

I have driven past this place a billion times and finally decided to stop by. I wanted some ceviche on a hot summer day and this place was close by. I actually ended up getting the Arroz a la Chiclayana – which was delicious. The rice is packed with herbs, tiny shrimp, and cheese. Plus there were clams, calamari, and mussels. I would love it if this were a larger, more comfortable restaurant atmosphere, but the food is on point!

Food is spectacular, 100% Lima Peru. Service could be better-for example waitress served my beer without a glass, I felt like I had to ask for everything and service was slow too. The restaurant was full, so I can understand why we waited over 30 minutes to get our order. We went with our 4 years old and newborn daughters. Next time we will go without kids. Place is small, inside they only have high tables and chairs, so we had to sit outside on 90+ degrees. But I will be back alone with my husband, it is worth 1hr drive from VA. So far this is the most authentic food from cevicherias in Lima.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this restaurant and its service once again. I have been a loyal customer for a long time, but sadly, I must say that the quality and customer service have gotten worse with every visit.

Today, just like on previous occasions, I had another terrible experience. The food took 35 minutes to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold. They took it back to reheat it, and when it returned, the fish was overcooked, dry, and overheated. The ceviche was poorly prepared and completely lacked seasoning, and the rice was a disappointment — it had only one shrimp and two mussels, undercooked, bland, and clearly not properly rested before serving.

I don’t make these comments lightly — I have worked for many years in the fine dining and corporate hospitality industry, so I know what proper service and food quality look like. Unfortunately, this restaurant has completely lost its standards.

No one apologized for the situation; instead, the staff ignored us entirely. They didn’t even offer water or ask if we wanted another drink. The basic service was missing — they failed to replace our silverware or bring sharing plates. At the end, there was no gesture to compensate for the poor experience, not even offering to look at the dessert menu.

It is genuinely sad to see how a place that once had such great potential and reputation is now falling apart due to poor management and an untrained, indifferent team. This kind of negligence doesn’t just ruin the dining experience — it’s the kind of behavior that drives a restaurant into failure.

This was the Ronda Marina 1 dish on the menu, which allows you to try a little of everything: ceviche, crab causa, fresh mussels & fried calamari/fish. The anticuchos came sizzling on hot stone which was a nice touch. Everything was amazing and the plating was 10/10. Refreshing meal to have on a hot summer day.

Really good Peruvian cevichería! A friend had recommended this place and the flavors really lived up to the expectations. Solid dishes all around and pretty good service. We started with a chicharron mixto and leche de tigre, both were delicious. The leche de tigre was a bit salty, but still good and with the right level of spiciness. We then tried the chicha morada, anticuchos, lomo saltado, chaufa aeropuerto, and ceviche norteño. Good portions and flavors for every dish. They also have Donofrio ice crean for sale as well as another called Llama that had very tasty fruit flavors like chirimoya and guanabana (soursop). One thing I hope they can achieve in the near future would be a more spacious and comfortable location that matches the flavors and prices.

Had a great meal here! The ceviche was fresh, the chifles were chifleicious, and the service was excellent?
