Came in for lunch based on a locals recommendation that today was burger day (Wednesdays) aka discounts on most of their burgers. I choose “The Barron Burger” lettuce, tomato, onions (raw or sautéed), mushrooms and American or provolone cheese on a Kaiser roll. Burger was cooked to perfection (medium). The fries looked house made, IDK if they were, but they were good. The ambiance was a place that had me thinking this is a place I’d like to come back to after work but I don’t live in P-Town. And lastly the wait staff were spot on!! It’s seat yourself but 3 different employees were on it and took care of us quickly even thought it was the lunch rush time.

Very tender juicy burger charboiled flavor taste smell. This is two diffrent sandwiches cowboy burger and black blue. Try to black and blue if you love fresh blue cheese.

Stopped in for a late lunch, the bar area was busy but the dining area was pretty much empty. We sat down and started looking at the drink menu. It was 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us.

We ordered our drinks, appetizers and salads. Drinks came out and were very tasty. Our salad was good but plain. The appetizers were both delicious and bad at the same time. The potato skins weren’t cooked completely and the lumpia was just bland. The southwest egg rolls were top notch along with the onion rings.

Unfortunately, when our check came, we were extremely disappointed. Yet again, another restaurant charging us to pay them with credit cards. That would’ve been nice to know upfront and very much might’ve swayed whether we ate there or not.

I stopped by Baron’s Pub for lunch and might have caught them at the wrong time. I remember when this place first opened and how my parents used to go, so I had some nostalgia going in. The food was okay—hard to mess up a club sandwich—but nothing standout. The drink, on the other hand, was solid, especially for the price. What was missing was the friendliness I expect from a pub. It was right after a St. Patrick’s Day afternoon celebration, so maybe the staff was just worn out. That said, the prices were very reasonable, so I’d be willing to give it another shot.

I really can’t say enough nice things about this experience. We were a large party and called needing a table for 11 in a hurry. They were extremely helpful and we had no wait on a busy Saturday night. The food was outstanding, I mean everything was fantastic. The service was top notch. I can highly recommend Barons for almost any occasion.

I have always loved this place! The food is always on point , staff are excellent, and bathrooms are clean! The atmosphere is very welcoming. The variety of foods between awesome pizzas, mouth-watering cheddar bacon burgers, and many other burger choices, wonderful steaks, as well as appetizers to die for! Roast is a definite entree you should try! It’s definitely worth a visit!I’m never disappointed! It’s not only historically located in the heart of Portsmouth, it’s historically awesome!

Went to this for the first time and they seem highly under-staffed. There was only one waitress who was struggling to keep up with all the tables. Despite this she maintained a positive attitude.

But due to the amount of work that was required of her it was impossible for truly good service. Therefore we left the minimum tip, and felt guilty because it wasn’t her fault. I suppose someone else decided not to show up that day or something.

Appetizers are supposed to come early or fast and always before the main course, but unfortunately ours didn’t get to our table until the exact time as the rest of the food. It was also an extraordinarily long wait to get food at all.

Place is very crowded, loud and extremely noisy. Would not recommend to those that get overstimulated easily like those with autism and/or on the spectrum etc. I was having these issues with the loudness of the place and amount of activity of so many people. We went right at dinner time around 5-5:30 no later than six in the evening.

The waitress used the same rag without sanitizing it for multiple tables, I witnessed three being wiped down back to back and I’m sure there was more. I don’t know what it was wet with but appeared to be water for the table did not look properly disinfected/cleaned once we sat down.

However I did like the waitress’s attitude, she was very positive and upbeat and loved the huge glasses of sweet tea we got. Reminded me of a German beer Stein, or a common mug in Germany.

We only came here because the German restaurant right across the street said reservations only otherwise there would be a long two hour wait.

We still had a good time, food was okay, but overpriced. Was good to get out of the house. Masks were not required which was nice. (As of August 30, 2021)

They do have a seating area for dine in and also a small outside dine in tables. There is a bar right by the dine in with another waitress maintaining the bar. But only one waitress was doing both the in and outside dine in.

I would recommend this for those that want to get liquored up or enjoy a beer and a meal. Since I was coming with a family for family meal it was not an ideal location and meal.

The food was great and the staff was very friendly. We ordered a large pizza which was absolutely delicious and way more than 2 people could eat. The drink menu leans toward the beer side but their mixed drinks are phenomenal as well.

One of many local pubs in Portsmouth, also has a location in suffolk. Tables were full at lunch. One waitress was able to take care of everyone efficiently. My Reuben sandwich was tasty but the fries were a disappointment. I have had a burger in the Suffolk location that was good.
