I ordered French onion soup and pot roast with green beans for delivery. Everything was so salty. I tried to eat the soup, but after three spoonfuls it was so salty I couldn’t eat anymore, same with the green beans. The pot roast was cooked well, but again, the gravy was so salty. I did manage to eat the roast and most of the potatoes, but this meal was not good. Disappointed, as this has been on my list of places to try for a while now. I may give them another chance in the future, but it will be a while.

One of many local pubs in Portsmouth, also has a location in suffolk. Tables were full at lunch. One waitress was able to take care of everyone efficiently. My Reuben sandwich was tasty but the fries were a disappointment. I have had a burger in the Suffolk location that was good.

The food was great and the staff was very friendly. We ordered a large pizza which was absolutely delicious and way more than 2 people could eat. The drink menu leans toward the beer side but their mixed drinks are phenomenal as well.

I wish there was a 6th star that I could give this place. I haven’t been here in 20 years, but we were regulars when I was stationed at Chesapeake/Norfolk. The atmosphere is everything & the drinks are good, too. We’d get so tore up that we’d walk home kicking trash cans over. For that, I apologize. Man, good times.

My Husband I Just moved into the area and just started going to this restaurant. The food was really great. But one particular time my husband went there to get me some food because I was really craving their bbq wings. Being 7 months pregnant. We didn’t know that their prices are different on different days & the waitress was very rude to him. My husband felt racially profiled. It sucks because we really like this restaurant . But since the service wasn’t acceptable we will not be spending our money there anymore.

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all! After sitting for over a hour, they inform me that they have ran out of Shrimp, Broccoli, scallops, and etc. The food that I was able to taste was OVER SEASONED. Chicken was over cooked and dry. The staff seemed as if they was not concerned about our disappointments. First and Last time coming to this restaurant.

Had to change my rating since last year to 5 star. I must have came on a bad day. This time everything was perfect on a Wednesday around 2:30pm ($5 Single Baron cheese Burger with bacon). YESS! Compared with FIVE GUYS $12 Bacon Cheese Burger, Baron’s Burger takes the Cake! Cooked to your liking (Medium to Well Done) this is the Juicest Burger in town. Needed a little bit of salt but that’s OK, my blood pressure didn’t need it. Every Wednesday your Single Baron Burger is $5.00. Great atmosphere. Jukebox that takes credit card. One slot machine. Outside seating. Great looking staff. Awesome cook! Plenty of room at the bar. Wide Variety of Alcohol. Live music on the weekends. Almost Every weekday they have a special. Happy Hour Monday-Friday 2pm-7pm. Saturday Sunday 11am-5pm. Mostly Parallel Parking on High Street.

Definitely a bar frequented by locals. The food is typical bar food. The french fries were incredibly soggy and tasted old, or freezer burnt. Idk.. keep your expectations low here. The server did a good job for a slow lunch service.
