An absolutely amazing French bakery hidden in plain sight in Camas/East Vancouver! This is the kind of independent gem we need to support amidst all the big chains around. All of their croissants and pastries are top notch – cannot recommend highly enough! Just come early, often sold out of the best ones before 10am…

Tried Baron Patisserie for the first time today and loved it. I came just before 9am and everything was pretty much sold out except for some fruit danishes- I got one of every flavor and they were delicious! I appreciated that the cherry and apple danish didn’t have cream, so i could enjoy them and my family enjoyed the others. The pastry was fresh, flaky, and not greasy or overly buttery- so far some of the best pastry dough I’ve found here in Vancouver. I appreciate that they are a small business that chooses quality over quantity and love that they sell out early! I want to go back to try more items and will join the early risers in line waiting for doors open.

Update: Finally got to try them. I called ahead in a week day and they were open. Yes, these croissants are wonderful, possibly the best in Vancouver. Original review: Call ahead before going. I live 8 minutes away. Every time I have tried to go they are either sold out or decided not to open that day. I guess I’m just unlucky. At least I didn’t waste too much time.

Tried the bakery, at 9:30am, only a few croissants and two danish, after being open for only 90 minutes. The atmosphere was not inviting to sit as the chairs were on top of the tables. There was nothing else for purchase that was shown on the online menu. Although the croissant was delicious, there was not much more to say about this bakery. Didn’t have much to offer by way of coffee. Otherwise the croissant we had was very good.
You need signage on your door so customers know you are open. Good luck..

I’ve been wanting to visit here for over a year and finally made the effort to go. For my daughter’s first birthday, I went in 4-5 days before and asked if it was possible to preorder a cake. Despite a busy schedule (I’ve had another local bakery tell me they couldn’t fulfill an order due to pending orders), they said the only cake possible would be strawberry shortcake. Yum, my personal favorite, so I put an order in and bought two other pastries — a delicious apricot frangipane tart and almond croissant.
Hands down, one of the best strawberry shortcake’s we’ve had that blew our socks off! Fresh whipped cream, three layers of shortcake-style cake brushed with simple syrup and in between whipped cream and strawberries. Yes, yes, yes! Simplistic yet divine.
Since then, I have made a trip back to enjoy a chocolate chip cookie, opera cake, pecan tart and a savory croissant. Love the variety and this place has become one of my favorite places to visit when I have a sweet tooth.
Thank you to the friendly staff that helped me with my order and made me feel welcome on both occasions!

We purchased 4 different pastries (blueberry, chocolate, cheese, and a pull apart cinnamon one) and all were lovely. The pastry was flakey, buttery, soft, everything I could ever want.

The woman at the counter was kind, patient, and was happy to explain to me what each item was.

Very disappointed. Google shows that this bakery is open, but when I arrived, the place was completely closed. No signs, no updates, nothing. Total waste of time. If you’re running a business, at least keep your hours accurate online. I won’t be coming back.

Amazing high-quality pastries. Very helpful and professional staff. Perfect for small boxed treat gift. Recipients of my recent pastries from here were gushing about the deliciousness and appeal of the products from here. Atmosphere was totally fine and squeaky clean/tidy, and in nice weather, would definitely rate 5 stars. In winter, not quite cozy, although huge windows make it bright and cheerful.

Fantastic, unassuming patisserie in the most unlikely of places. Highlights for me are the ham and cheese croissant, the custard danish, and the cinnamon pull aparts. Get there early because he sells out; there’s often a lineup outside at 8.

I love going in to Baron Patisserie! I know that whatever is in the case will be delicious.

Today I was extra lucky because I was able to take these incredible croissants home! They were flaky and delicious.

I also love that service is always friendly and a joy!
