Barney’s is a restaurant on San Vincente. You have the option to eat outside so very enjoyable when the weather is nice.
It’s a burger place where you also have a large choice of salads.
I got the Santa Fe Salad that is nice. Not disappointed. (I got this one a few times).
We also got a customized Barney’s Burger and a Guacamole burger. Overall, they were both good. The meat is great. The guacamole one was original.
The fries are good – we got the curly ones and steak fries.
It’s a cool spot to stop by and enjoy nice food. I know we are in LA/Brentwood, but I feel it is a bit on the pricey side ($20 for a salad and you need to order sides separately).

I recently had lunch at Barney’s Gourmet Burgers in Brentwood for the first time. It’s important to note that this is not to be confused with Barney’s Beanery. The burger of the month was the Santa Fe, which came highly recommended by my friend. It featured caramelized onions and jalapeños, offering a slight kick, but the real highlight was the incredibly juicy patty and the generous portion of meat. I also thoroughly enjoyed the skinny fries.
Our server, Kira, was fast, efficient, and super friendly—Thank You, KIRA! (Sometimes people forget that it’s more about the food but the service definitely is part of the experience.)
The restaurant has a cozy, café-like atmosphere, and the service was excellent—quick and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Wednesday price for the burger (burger of the month) was just $12, a significant reduction from the usual $18.95. While some may have complained about the regular price (online), I believe the quality and size of the burger fully justify the cost, and I would gladly pay it.
Living just a mile away, I’ll definitely be returning. Sometimes you stumble upon hidden gems in your neighborhood, and this is one of them. A special thanks to my friend, an Uber delivery driver, who introduced me to this spot. Barney’s Gourmet Burgers truly deserves its reputation, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great burger experience.

I feel like their burgers are always just lacking in flavor and they tend to be on the drier side.
Overall their food is just okay. It doesn’t feel worth it because their burgers cost so much.

had heard good things about Barney’s, so I took my son there for lunch. The food quality was very average, leaning toward bad, yet the prices are premium. My son, who loves burgers, couldn’t even finish his burger despite being very hungry. Total disappointment.

Definitely by far my favorite burger restaurant to go to. Hannah, our server is always friendly and provides great service. My husband and I have been dining at the restaurant located in Brentwood for many years. It’s surprising that the restaurant we dined in San Francisco (Noe Valley) was not the same quality of burgers. It was tasteless.

We saw this join on Instagram and decided to make the drive… Glad I did. I had been craving a gourmet burger in these did not disappoint. I would warn you to be careful with modifications to two burgers, fries and an appetizer ran us over $60. That said, the flavor was amazing.

Service was excellent! I would recommend the fried vegetable basket. My husband loved his Santa Fe burger with bacon. I went the traditional route with the Barney’s burger, which was delicious. We were lucky to find street metered parking in front of the restaurant.

Pretty damn good burger if I must say! I got the Gastropub and it was cooked perfectly and had a runny egg! Pretzel bun was soft and chewy. It came with some house made potatoes chips, but those were mediocre, the heat of the burger made most of they soft and soggy instead of being crisp. Also got some sweet potatoes fries which were sweet and well seasoned.

In my experience every time when some restaurant asks a degree of donenesse – the burger turns out to be worse than a regular burger from a restaurant that doesn’t ask this.
The burger in the picture (Barney’s burger) felt empty and tasteless. Maybe I was supposed to buy extra sauce in the restaurant, I don’t know. I believe that a burger should be good by default, without requiring me to prepare it by myself.
Maybe their other menu items are better, but I rate only burgers. And about the service, if I say “for here” this means for here, not to go. Though in this case the service doesn’t matter, my rating is for a burger relatively to other burgers in LA.
