Excellent Italian cuisine is available at Barnelli’s Pasta Bowl in a quick-service setting. The restaurant’s interior is distinctly “Chicago,” with artifacts and relics from the city’s past. Due to the fact that the restaurant and Portillo’s share a building, their menu is extensive. The chicken parmesan sandwich was delicious. Expect a crowd if you go for lunch because this is a well-liked local lunch spot.

I had a chicken pasta in white sauce and my friend had a pizza. Both were incredibly tasty. The ingredients in the pasta were so fresh! So delicious… and the atmosphere is nice, something like a market place with a lot of cool items on display. Also great value for money. Highly recommended.

I wasnt there to eat. I deliver for Door dash. I hope I never ever have to pick up any customer food there ever again. This is the slowest, incompetent Barnelli Portillos I’ve ever been too. Kept forgetting items in peoples order. Mixed up orders and distasteful attitudes. If the customer service is this poor for us delivery drivers. I can only imagine what its like eating there. They wont get my business.

Portillos is one of those classic chicago-area restaurants that you just need to go to! The hot dogs, shakes, malts, and fries are incredible, along with basically anything else you can order. This location in particular has very speedy service and the staff is generally friendly and responsive. I would definitely go to this location again.

Barnelli’s Pasta Bowl offers great Italian food in a fast casual atmosphere. The decor of the restaurant is very “Chicago” full of memorabilia and collectibles from Chicago’s history. The restaurant shares the building with Portillo’s which makes their menu vast. I enjoyed the chicken parmesan sandwich. If you’re going for lunch, expect a crowd as this serves as a popular local lunch favorite.

Went in to order carry out. Ordered the chicken parmigiano. After a little over 20 mins and tons of people getting their orders I asked the girl calling the numbers to please check on my order. She responded they are checking on it. Then another 10 mins pass so by the time I’ve been standing there for nearly 30 minutes I go to the cashier to ask for a manager they call for him but he is too busy as they call for him my order gets called. I try not to be a stickler but super annoyed. Either they were understaffed or I don’t now. I’m disappointed in the service. Don’t think I’ll be back. Hope you all have a better experience.
