Classic Montrose restaurant! They serve up great food, good sized portions, and with amazing service. I had a Greek chicken salad… packed with flavor and huge! I love the laid-back atmosphere here too. Definitely a good place to hit.

There is a nice variety of items in the menu. I recommend using the QR code on the menu so you can a visual of each item. The portions are huge so you might consider sharing with someone. I had a club sandwich w French fries and I ate half. I brought leftovers home to my husband. Parking is limited but good and free. It’s not a large restaurant but clean. The wait staff is great! Friendly, helpful and efficient.

I’ll be honest the food was good but the to go order was a mess. My cousin got a sandwich similar to the BLT with potatoes and the entire order was disassembled in a container? If we had known we’d have to build our own meal we wouldn’t have gotten it. Service upon arrival is the reason we got a to go order to begin with as it was the host was rude and genuinely not welcoming. If you want bare minimum service but 7/10 food I guess you can go here. Wouldn’t go back to this location.

Visited for lunch with a companion. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries, while my companion had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. The food was well prepared and satisfying—classic comfort dishes done well.
Coke is served in cans, but free refills are provided, which was a nice touch. Service was very good: friendly, attentive, and the restaurant was very clean. The pacing did feel a bit quick and slightly rushed, though still polite and professional.
Barnaby’s is a pleasant lunch spot overall, but it does lean toward the expensive side. Entrées ranged roughly from $15–$18, which feels somewhat overpriced given the current economic climate. That said, the quality of service helps offset the cost. They do offer weekly specials—for example, burgers are around $10 after 8 p.m.—which seems like a better value and a good time to visit.
Overall, a solid experience with good food and strong service—just be prepared for higher prices.

This was an unpleasant experience. At the time, we brought our dog and had to sit on the patio, which isn’t bad but not great on a hot day.
The food was very average for the high price. We ordered “bacon jam sliders”, “bowl of fries”, and “sliced chicken breast over brown rice” for the dog. For drinks, we ordered coke and a strawberry lemonade but it was watered down with underripe strawberry chunks. The sliders were fine but there was inconsistency with how cooked it was. The fries were beautifully cooked but ONLY the top center fries got the seasoning. The dog’s food was room temperature, but he didn’t really eat it even though he ate his normal food after we left.
The service was nice, when they got to us. From sitting down, to getting the menu and our drinks, to ordering food, to finally getting the food, it all took a good 6-10 minutes between each action. With the heat, it all felt even longer.
Overall, it felt that even if it was “pet friendly” it didn’t really feel like that. The only pet friendly thing was the fact they did have a dog centered menu.

This isn’t the place for you if you want to eat and have quality time with friends. The owner will passive aggressively shoo you out if you don’t eat quickly and run. I get that there’s limited seating and you need to make money for you and staff. But this place has been open for years. If it’s too small, take some of your profit and expand. Don’t put it on the customer to eat immediately and jet for lack of space. Hospitality is part of the dining experience. I’ll never come back ♀️.

Had an excellent lunch here with a friend.
I love Barnaby’s; the quality is consistent and the service is always great. Today I got the Asian Chicken Salad with a side of sweet potato fries. The smaller size salad is the perfect size for one person and the sweet potato fries were fried very well. This Montrose location is one of my favorites, the staff is so welcoming and the atmosphere is very casual.
Can’t wait for my next visit 🙂

Inside seating can be tight. Lemon cake was to die for! Everything was well made, and served quickly. Staff was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and suggestions were spot on for favorites. Will definitely be back!

We came here on a Thursday evening and were greeted in a friendly manner by the staff. We are both vegetarians and saw there were some good options on the menu; we set about ordering some garlic hummus with pita chips to start followed by the falafel burger with fries and the impossible burger with fries (our favourite!). Lastly, we shared the apple pie with ice cream. All the food was really tasty and made promptly. The server was was very friendly and we could hear he was making all the customers feel right at home. We would definitely come back.

Matt was welcoming from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. He knew all of the menu and gave us great recommendations! My husband got the chili burger and I got the bacon cheeseburger. The taste was amazing and the portions were huge. The real Star of the show was the Apricot Mustard wings and the carrotcake. Holy moly some of the best things I’ve tasted ! Can’t wait to eat here again!
