Our server, Frankie, was personable and had our drinks and appetizers out quickly. The Tuna Capriccio was as refreshing as it was delicious. The mix of flavors and vibrant scents were exactly what we were looking for.
For somebody who enjoys Cuban dishes, the Jamon Croquetas had to be one of the best we’ve had anywhere. Way to go! And let me tell you! The Roasted Root Vegetables were to die for. They were the perfect texture of soft and tender. They were savory and sweet with a hint of a balsamic reduction that took our palate to an entirely different level. I mean, that should be a dinner course itself because WHOA!
Our drinks were great as well. Grab yourself an Espresso Martini next time you visit!
10/10! We will be back.
I ordered the branzino, which was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was definitely the highlight of the meal.
I also tried the zucchini crisp and a croquet as appetizers. While both dishes had good flavor and texture, they were a bit too heavily buttered for my taste. I found myself having to remove some of the butter to really enjoy the natural flavors, especially the zucchini. I appreciate rich, fried foods, but I think a lighter touch would allow the ingredients to shine more.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would happily return. With just a small adjustment in the preparation of a few dishes, it would easily be a five-star spot.
I had such a beautiful experience at Barlume in New York City. The concept is truly special, with an elegant restaurant upstairs at @barlumenyc and a vibrant cocktail lounge downstairs at @barlumedownstairs, making it the perfect destination for both dinner and a full night out in one place.
We started with dinner upstairs, where the ambiance felt refined, stylish, and very inviting. The atmosphere is chic and perfect for a sophisticated NYC evening. After dinner, transitioning downstairs to the cocktail lounge was seamless and made the experience feel complete.
What truly stood out was the hospitality. The team was incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Shpati, Artan, and Joni, who were so welcoming and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout the evening.
If you are looking for a place in NYC where you can enjoy both an elegant dinner and cocktails in one destination, Barlume is a fantastic choice. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it for a stylish night out in Manhattan.
We went as a group of 6. Did a sharing style dinner with Bronzino, tomahawk steak, grilled octopus, fried zucchini, bread with hummus and some desserts. I love all the dishes that we had. All executed well.
Bronzino skin was crispy and with lemon drizzled over, it tasted excellent. Steak was soft and tender. Love the bread, warm and fluffy.
Service was excellent. They were very attentive. Bringing out food, topping our drinks, giving extra utensils etc. Honestly very impressed with their service. Bathroom is unisex. Pretty clean.
Overall a great spot for friends hangout and date night. I had an amazing time.
We started w the oysters and I was skeptical abt them bc they were large but they were actually quite good. No special vinaigrette which could be an area of improvement. We also got the hamachi, Mediterranean salad, dips, and zucchini chips as apps. Our fav was by far the zucchini chips. We ordered a second one.
Then, we got the nudja pizza and it was surprisingly good for a place that’s not known for pizza. Our fav pasta was the pesto pasta and I don’t even like pesto. The other pasta we got was a red sauce was good not great.
The Tomahawk was good, not great. The meat was kind of loose idk you can judge in the photo. This is not a steakhouse so I’m not dinging the for that lol. Comes w potatoes and Brussels sprouts so this is good for a large group.
Dessert was also fire. Everything abt this place just hit. We had a weird experience tho. There was this couple who was aggressively making out in the booth next to us the entire time. Not the restaurant’s fault that they have no tact though.
The cocktails were just as impressive, the Neon Lights was crips and refreshing, and the Monte Carlo Old Fashioned was delicious and a perfect winter drink. Combined with outstanding and warm service by the manager Avery and our waitress Maria, and the warm, stylish ambience, Barlume delivers a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended.
Not sure about the value of $20+ cocktails. They were good but not _that_ good.
