We visited for dinner recently and had a great experience. There was a prime rib special which my husband really enjoyed. I ordered the fish & chips with onion rings instead of fries. The breading on the fish had great flavor but was a bit too thick for my liking. The tartar sauce is definitely made in house, yum! We will return.

Our waitress was friendly and the restaurant is for the most part clean and nice. As for the food it was nothing special. I had the Philly cheese steak and it was very bland and dry. My husband had the taco salad and it was good. Not sure if the quality of the food is worth the price, no matter how much the cost of supplies has went up. I have no problem paying to dine in somewhere as long as the food is worth it. I won’t make this mistake again.

Unfortunately, I just “tried” to dine here and did not have a good experience at all. When my best friend visits, it’s our tradition to get brunch and a Bloody Mary on our way to the airport. We chose Barlows this year. When we first walked in, I was telling my son “come hold my hand please.” As he had a lot of energy in that moment. The young, blonde male host heard that, and he yelled at my 5 year old, saying “you better listen to your mom because if you break something I’m making you pay for it.”. Not in a joking or friendly tone at all. My son was not doing anything destructive or rambunctious, i was just reminding him to calm his body in a restaurant, and it felt incredibly rude that this stranger yelled at my child.
We moved past it and proceeded to order 2 bloody Mary’s for us, and 2 chocolate milks for the kids. The waitress asked for our ID’s and said she needed to look at the in better light, which was fine. She was gone for over 5 minutes, and when she came back she told us she cannot serve us alcohol because our IDs are so flimsy they seem fake. She said she also asked management about it. We’ve never ever heard that in our lives, our IDs don’t even look alike (one from Idaho, one from Michigan) we buy alcohol frequently and have never been questioned. I told my parents the story later and compared my ID to theirs, they feel the exact same. The exact same as every other ID she checked that day, and every day, I’m sure. The whole thing was just crazy and every staff member i interacted with was so rude. We left and had a lovely Bloody Mary elsewhere.

Service was good. Food was fine. Hubby got fish & chips with a salad, an appetizer with a chicken fillet added. No alcohol, just tea. Over $100 for 2 of us. Shocked.

We had breakfast in the bar this morning, we were the old retired folks. Our server was quick, cheerful & much more awake than I was. Our food was delicious and so was the bloody mary with their house mix even when I chose the house vodka. Watch out for the upgradess, sauce I expect but they even charge for cottage potatoes instead of hash browns.

Went in for lunch got a $28 chicken sandwich and soda… you figure out the rest. Not worth it, yes the mango salsa was great, yes the waitress was friendly but this is not a frugal restaurant with large portions.

Lovely place, delicious food, best and most courteous server, Sharisa. Chicken fried steak this week and Vegetarian Omelette last week were both delicious. Will look forward to coming back on our next visit.

My best friend and her two kiddos and I came here for some bloody Marys on our way out to the airport to drop me off. The server took our ID’s, walked away with them for a questionable amout of time, and then came back just to tell us she “ran it through her manager and she can serve us anything else besides alcohol because both of our ID’s were too flexible and seemed fake”. Keep in mind both of us are nearly 28 years old, had two toddlers with us, and have never in our adult life been told we can’t be served alcohol because our ID’s looked fake. Not to mention the host (guy with blonde hair) rudely said to my friends kids that if they don’t listen to their mom and they break something then we’ll have to pay for it. Terrible experience considering we were in there for less than 5 minutes.
