Wow! Im quite impressed! Found this place close to Columbus Hilton downtown. The building is an older building ( two into one), late 1800s, with a quaint feel inside. I sat at the bar and had some good conversation with the bartender/server. Im not a beer drinker, but they had quite a few stouts on hand. I ordered the reuben egg rolls, they were amazing, and the pub burger, the bacon is their own blend of spices and was really good. One of the other drivers got the fish and chips. On Tuesdays they have slider bugers, single, double or triple. The atmosphere fits the area and there are multiple tvs to watch multiple sports. I would definitely recommend this when around the Arena District area for anything or just a road trip.

We stopped here for a beer and decided to have the Fish and Chips. These fish and chips were one of the best I’ve had. Very big ,full piece of flavorful white fish. Texture was perfect and the breading was amazing. We also stopped because we lost one of our soul dogs named Barley. Hops 3 years before. Beer was excellent. Service by the bartender was superb.

a solid 6.5/10.

Barley’s is your classic brewery style spot. Good vibes, casual, and exactly what you’d expect walking in. Overall, it was a pretty average experience, but there were a few highlights.

I started with the pretzels served with beer cheese and mustard, and those were GENUINELY so good. The pretzels were warm and soft, and the beer cheese was rich without being too heavy. The mustard had a noticeable kick to it, slightly spicy with an interesting sharpness that definitely cleared the sinuses (though I’ll admit I’m a bit spice intolerant). If you like bold mustard, you’d probably love it.

For my entrée, I ordered the chicken tender basket. It was fine, not bad at all, but nothing particularly standout or memorable. It tasted like a standard chicken basket you could get back home. Comforting, but not life changing.

I also received sweet potato waffle fries, which were good! Crispy and lightly sweet…..but….. I hadn’t actually ordered them. Not a huge issue, just a small mix-up. I did get a chance to try their regular fries and they were truly amazing. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and the inside was soft. It had a wonderful crunch and flavor, even without salt, that had you going back for me.

Overall, everything went smoothly, but it was a fairly mediocre experience. A solid, dependable brewery meal, but not somewhere I’d necessarily go out of my way for.

Barley’s Brewing Company absolutely delivered an unforgettable evening! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming.

I started with the Reuben Eggrolls, which were a brilliant twist on a classic—crispy, golden exterior with a perfectly balanced filling of corned beef, sauerkraut, and melted cheese. They set the tone for the meal beautifully.

For my main course, I went with the Thursday steak special, cooked to a flawless medium‑rare. Juicy, tender, and seasoned just right, it paired perfectly with the baked potato, which was served piping hot and generously topped. It felt like a true comfort‑food classic elevated to steakhouse quality.

To round out the evening, I enjoyed a three‑beer flight with 5oz pours of the Christmas Ale, Barrel‑Aged Imperial Stout, and Bourbon Meyer Buckeye Stout. Each pour showcased Barley’s brewing artistry:
– The Christmas Ale was festive and spiced, a perfect seasonal treat.
– The Barrel‑Aged Imperial Stout was rich, complex, and smooth, with notes that lingered beautifully.
– The Bourbon Meyer Buckeye Stout was decadent, with a velvety finish and just the right touch of bourbon notes.

Between the inventive food, expertly prepared steak, and standout beers, Barley’s Brewing Company proved why it’s a Columbus gem. I’ll definitely be back soon—this place deserves every bit of its reputation!

The food was fairly good but certain items could have used a bit more seasoning. Personally I found the pierogis quite good texturally and the onions are very tasty yet fairly under-seasoned. The place was a bit busy but it still took almost 20 minutes to receive the drinks we ordered which was a bit disappointing. Also, I was hoping to try some of the cask ales but sadly they said they have since abandoned the tradition since COVID (at least according to our server). Not a bad experience but a bit of a mixed bag. I’d highly recommend the Sauerkraut Balls, they were phenomenal!

Barley’s is a favorite of ours and has been for years. We walked over from Comfest on a Sunday evening to find the place basically empty. Fine with us because we got our food quickly! The service was great. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and fries, and my husband had the buffalo chicken salad, both delicious. I’m obsessed with their perfectly crunchy fries!

Stayed downtown at the Hilton Hampton inn and looking for a spot for an appetizer and beer before a blue jackets hockey game and this place didn’t disappoint! The bee cool IPA was really good (local honey infused) and the Ruben egg rolls were a perfect match!. Looks like this place can get busy so come earlier than what you think. A great pregame before heading to the nationwide arena!!

Elevated bar food with exceptional brews. Pecan Turkey Sandwich was nutty with a little spice, rueban eggroles perfectly crispy, and chicken sandwhich perfectly crispy / juicy. Love the red ale. They also have a Ukrainian beer I had last time which was an imperial stout. They also have perogies which are pretty good.

My buddy and I started going here about a 2 years ago. We go often before CBJ games. As of right now this place is one of our favorites overall. The wings are some of the best around. I don’t think either of us have had a food item on the menu that wasn’t mindblowing. I’m not a huge ruben person, but those Rueben egg roles are unbelievable! The beers are amazing, especially The Bourbon Meyer Stout. Great atmosphere, great service. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
