This was a welcome surprise. We stopped at the gas station on the corner and didn’t even realize this restaurant was back behind the gas station. My wife found it by searching yelp. We saw that it had good reviews so we tried it. The restaurant looks like a small log cabin with seating for maybe 20 people. Antiques and memories are all over the walls. The two people that we saw inside, I assume a father and daughter working together were friendly and helpful. The food came out fast but nade to order. My wife had a hamburger and it was definitely one of my favorite burgers that I have had anywhere. I had the special, a rotisserie chicken, and pick of two sides. I had potato salad and mac and cheese. The mac was tasty but a little runny but the potato salad was awesome. It had just the right level of acidity. If you find yourself in this little out of the way area I highly recommend stopping in. I know I will when I’m in the area again.

Wife and I are OTR Truckers and have been out for close to three weeks. We have been CRAVING a burger. Not some chain Burger, but a real FREAKIN BURGER! I had the Smoke House Burger with Carmelized Onions, Smoked Gouda, and Bacon. All three were chopped up nicely and you got a bite of everything with every bite. Wife ordered the Regular burger with everything, which was far from regular, more like out of this world. They even had the fancy pickles! Lol I had Bourbon Beenie-Weenies and she had the pasta salad. All in all it was Damn Good. We met the owner, really chill guy. We will definitely stop by here again.

Tremendous food. I seek out great pulled pork and this was top notch. Great both for a beer with friends or to head out to with the family. Thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the owner.

My husband and I stopped at the Petro across the street to do our 30 minute break and decided to check Barleypops out. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with mac-n-cheese. SO GOOD!!! The chicken was actually grilled and not just microwaved. The hubby had a hamburger with baked beans. He said it was AWESOME!!! And the atmosphere was really cool. I dig funky little places like this.
