While this wasn’t our first visit to Barley and Vine, our typical stops usually happen on holidays like Easter or Mother’s Day where they have the brunch buffet, so we’re usually not ordering off the menu, but this was a special occasion to meet the newborn of one of our good friends over Sunday brunch.
Our group of 8 (plus high chair) tried a wide selection of breakfast and lunch menu items, so starting things off with beverages, I was the only one who had the $5 mimosas, while everyone else couldn’t resist ordering the drink special of the day: a pumpkin spice espresso martini. Made with pumpkin spice simple syrup, they knocked it out of the park!
After drinks, we started off the table with some of their spicy cauliflower (cooked ala boneless buffalo wing style) and cinnamon roll skillet. The cauliflower was perfectly breaded and seasoned but then dipped in the avocado ranch…. Amazing! The cinnamon rolls were nice and warm and just coated in gooey icing (PS I saved a little bit to have for dessert).
The new dad ordered the Bree burger while I got the Southern Belle Burger with their sweet potato waffle fries, which are probably some of my favorite fries anywhere! I tried the chicken wild rice soup from one of our friends, and it was absolutely delicious. Another friend ordered the Steak bowl, my wife also had the Bree Burger and a side of the specialty salad AKA the summer berry, and the new mother ordered the breakfast flatbread.
The restaurant wasn’t too busy, and the noise level was perfect with a nice soundtrack of music while our food came out at a pleasant pace, & our drinks were always filled. Kudos to our waitress Kiara for being friendly and doing a fantastic job.

It’s fine for the area and about what you’d expect, but nothing to write home about. My main issue was the bar. They have an Old Fashioned as a featured drink, but it’s not made right—standard ice and orange slices mixed in. It’s a decent enough spot if you aren’t picky, but the cocktail execution is pretty lazy.

The four of us went for a weekday lunch. Three of us got the “pick 2” lunch specials. The variety of choices was nice. All of our food was delicious, the price was nice and the portions were generous. I thought the mushroom burger was especially tasty.
The service was fantastic. Devonn (spelling?) was warm, friendly, and on top of everything.
I’ve been here before but not anyone else in my group. They all enjoyed it and plan on returning.

Went at lunch, was a calm atmosphere. No wait. Service was excellent. Got a lunch half Ruben, half chicken wild rice soup – both were delicious. Got fish and chips, the fries were amazing. The cod was good, the tartar sauce could have been better. Both meals came quick and were so fresh and warm. The water was the worst part of the experience, not sure if the city water is just that bad or if they need to change out a filter but it was not good. Food, service, and atmosphere was fire.

I would highly recommend for a nice dinner night. Our server Josh was sweet and was very friendly. We got the Steak Puttanesca and the Teriyaki Salmon which were both good meals. My favorite was the sparkling pomegranate cosmo, I prefer sweeter drinks and was pleasantly surprised that with the pomegranate it wasn’t dry.

We are outside on a Saturday evening in July 2025. The weather was great and the server was friendly and speedy. 2 of us ordered the Walleye filet and 2 ordered the burger. The walleye, which is a Minnesota favorite, was tender and flaky with a crispy crust. The broccolini was steamed just right but the potatoes were a bit gummy.
The burgers were juicy and cooked as ordered. The fries were crispy outside and fluffy inside. The waitstaff kept an eye on us and made sure we had everything we needed (including refills).
The noise level was low which made it easy to talk but a band was setting up when we left so I don’t know what the noise level was like after 8pm.
We will eat here again.

Service was extremely slow for an almost empty restaurant. Were told while trying to order (not when entering or when sat) that their griddle wasn’t working so we couldn’t order pancakes or French toast. But yet, could order hash browns, eggs, bacon, burgers. I assume they’d use a griddle for all those but I honestly don’t know. When food arrived, hash browns were cold (they did bring out new ones), English muffin was inedible, literally could not bite through it. Just a bad experience overall. No apologies or anything to try and make our meal or experience better.

Tonight I brought my mom for dinner after work, and it was the best dining experience I can remember in recent history Our server, Grace, was delightful! She was attentive, prompt, and very friendly! She suggested the current special which was a chicken pesto penne dish that was, for lack of a better word, DIVINE. The pesto cream sauce and Grilled Chicken Blended perfectly with the pasta, red peppers, and cherry tomatoes. My mom had the Baratta and she was beyond pleased with the freshness of all the ingredients! They had a man playing music, Mark Mraz I believe was his name. He set the mood, and was playing hits that I grew up with and that my mom had fun showing me when I was younger. All in all it was a wonderful meal and an amazing experience! Thank you so much

First (and last) visit. Drinks came out wrong. The Mongolian beef bowl was aggressively salty—highly recommend ordering a full pitcher of water to survive the pounds of salt. The burger and wings were dry, which, according to our server, were the best options available. Fries were the clear standout and the only reason this gets two stars.

Great place in Lakeville! It’s a big restaurant with delicious food. The dishes are unique and I encourage you to try new dishes here. You won’t be disappointed. They also have a good selection of wine. I ordered the Chateau St. Michelle Rose, smooth and mild taste that give just a little buzz to help you chill and enjoy your company.
