Came here in a Friday night a few weeks ago. I feel like you should know a password or something to get in as it feels like a speakeasy hidden away in the back of a commercial steel building. When we walked in I was really impressed with the atmosphere and from the packed room, it was obvious that others felt the same way. Had a bit of a wait and a larger reception area would have been nice as it was standing room only. Fast forward to dinner: all parties in attendance, four total, really enjoyed the food, and Paige, our server was delightful adding to the overall experience. Heading there again tonight and certainly many times again down the road.

Delicious food! Great drinks! House brewed beers were very tasty and the espresso martini was really good! Fantastic service! Would come back again!

Very nice place. Great staff and awesome food!
Only complaint. The music.
Throw it back! Make it nasty blame it on the whiskey? My daughters and wife should not have to hear such filthiness at dinner.

I came here with my family and it was lovely. Downside is that they told us it would be a 20 minute wait and it was almost an hour. Im not taking off stars though because part of that was we couldn’t sit at a high top with my little girl, and the rest was that people were just doing their thing and taking their time to socialize. We had a party of six, and its still a fairly small place. However the service was excellent. When we were still waiting the bar gave me some juice for my girl and let me put in her order early so we got it pretty soon after we sat down. I got the seasonal pork dish that was some kind of roulade thing. Delish. I tried the Mac and cheese which was pretty decent and my dad had the parmesan garlic wings which I snagged a bite of as well. The cheese curds will be a must going forward because I will most certainly be returning. We finished off the meal with the almond toffee bundt cake and holey smokes I could die happy with that as my last bite of food.

A really awesome addition to this town! The house brews are excellent and the kitchen is obviously being led by a very attentive chef! Should have taken photos before we took a bite. Looking forward to more from here.

Visited with friends and sat at the bar. We.had a great bartender – Jersey – she was attentive and didn’t miss a beat waiting on the bar and server orders. Food was okay – not great. We were enjoying ourselves with cocktails and food. The only wrinkle came when one of the servers passing by commented “Wow you have been here.a long time”. Thinking about it later I realized that this was a casual way of saying “you have been her long enough now get out and let someone else have your seats”. SO Barley Thyme is one of those eat, drink and leave places. I will think twice before going back. I do not like to be rushed and did not appreciate the nudge to leave.

We have become regulars here because we appreciate their hard work and love for the community they serve. Christie always ends up being our waitress and I feel like she’s family now. She genuinely cares about the people she serves and always makes us smile. The food is beyond fantastic…the wings are our favorite but we also love the BT Burger the salads the goat cheese appetizer and more. Their beer!!! Omg…im a beer snob and their blonde ale is my top favorite beer. Period. I got a growler to refill to my heart’s content. This is a MUST on your dining to do list. The only way you’ll be disappointed is in the wait to get in. And that’s only because they are doing everything well.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon at 5pm and there were plenty of tables and spaces at the bar. No wait. The menu was limited but is expected to become a full menu in the coming weeks. Staff was very friendly. It’s great to have a place like this in Danville.
There are currently three beers brewed by Barley and Thyme on tap. A brown, a blonde, and a Rye IPA served in a 12oz tulip. But there are plenty of other guest beers on tap and available in cans.
There is outdoor seating as well that has afternoon sun but with pergolas overhead.

The food was wonderful! I got the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer (enough to share), the fall salad with chicken as my main course, and the pecan brulee for dessert. Each was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was very friendly. The food took quite a while to come out, but we were in no rush. It was pretty loud, and I had trouble conversing at times. Nevertheless, I will definitely be back!

Great spot with rotating beers. The wings and pretzel sticks were delicious. Great seasonal menu with kid friendly options as well. Highly recommend the cookie skillet!
