Stopped here for a late lunch and decided to try several things. We each got a combo plate with two sides, plus an order of Cajun sausage and a Smoked Chocolate Chip cookie. I had brisket and smoked chicken, and they were pretty good. They were a little dry, but the flavor was good. The potato salad and mac and cheese were both tasty as well. My hubby had the brisket and the pulled pork, along with mac and cheese and baked beans. He liked everything. The chocolate chip cookie was average, and neither of us tasted any smoke flavor in it. The service was awesome…and the employee even brought our food out to us in the patio area when it was ready. Very friendly and helpful and made it a great experience for us. For 2 combo plates, an order of sausage, 1 cookie and two iced teas, our bill came to $69 plus tip…..so it was definitely more expensive than a typical bbq joint, but the atmosphere made a fun meal.

Don’t judge by my half eaten nacho picture – they were much more beautiful before I dug in! Pulled pork has a delicious Smokey BBQ flavor and the sweet tea will make your teeth chatter in a good way! Located in Stovehouse, with indoor and outdoor seating, the location is perfect for an outing.

$17 for a brisket sandwich and a water. I’m glad I had the water because the brisket was like eating toothpicks. No smoke ring or color to the brisket and the fat wasn’t even close to beginning to be rendered. Did they cook it in the microwave? Maybe. But then again, if it was microwaved it would’ve been warm. Bun was untoasted and soggy as well. The only points I’ll give them is that their spicy barbecue sauce was tolerable and the pickles were okay. Whatever the Alabama white sauce was (think In-n-Out special sauce) didn’t belong anywhere near brisket.

First time visit to Stovehouse and decided on BBQ for dinner. From the minute I walked through the door, Ms. Quentella was so helpful and awesome. She informed me about all the options, and let me sample their pork skins before I ordered. I decided on the brisket sandwich with a side of baked beans AND pork skins. Everything is made in house and it was all absolutely delicious. All the staff I interacted with were so friendly and highly complimentary of their menu items. I will definitely be returning to try other menu options!!

It’s always nice to walk in a restaurant and be welcomed! Food was served fast and more importantly it was served hot! Pulled pork was moist and flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning. Baked potato was delicious but the star of the show was the Kettle Chip Nachos!! Can’t wait to go back and try the other items in the menu.

Upon my third visit, I was finally able to get some brisket. I made two attempts prior to this visit and they were always out of the brisket and they do not sell chicken. I am not a huge fan of pork, so I would always walk away with an empty stomach. This day I was happy. The brisket was very good. Somewhat tender with a small amount of melt in your mouth. They were out of collards so I ended up trying the red beans and rice and it was excellent. So good that I went back through the drive through for a larger portion. This is a must try spot, but you must go early to get the brisket.

I got The Favorite Combo with Pulled Pork and Cajun Sausage. The sides they recommended Smoked Mac and Cheeses and Collard Greens. It also came with a slice of bread. And I got a Large Come to drink. The pulled pork had a nice smoke flavor to it. The pulled pork was moist and not too dry. The Cajun Sausage had some kick to it. The Smoked Mac and Cheese had a nice smoke flavor to it. I thought maybe a little dry. The Collard Greens was good and good taste. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. My advice is that compared to other Favorite BBQ Places that I’ve eaten at that this place is overpriced. The food was good, but I don’t believe that it was about $18 good for 1 person.

This was our first time checking out Bark & Barrel BBQ at Stovehouse, and we were both thrilled with our experience!
The staff was super friendly, the food was absolute perfection, portions were BIG, and the location was pretty cool!

The food was amazing. The food did take a while to make and we were asked to wait outside. Had to walk back and forth numerous times to check on order status. And we were given the wrong food. Once that was corrected we enjoyed our meal greatly though. Even went back in to order some of their white sauce and queso to take home.
