That Time in Austin. Our love and appreciation for barbecue started where it starts for most others, in Austin, Texas. We have spent the last seven years dedicating our time and energy to learning how to create the Central Texas barbecue experience right here in our home state of Maryland. A passion to cook in our backyard with friends has become something we enjoy doing for our entire community. We were not sure where this barbecue journey would take us. At first, we enjoyed sharing our food through pop-ups and catering. In December of 2021, we opened our very first brick and mortar, Bark Barbecue Cafe on Kent Island, Maryland. We look forward to welcoming you to Bark.

Awesome place. The smoke shack looked legit, loved that you can watch them smoke their meat. The inside was a bit small, most seating is outdoor. We got a cookies n cream milkshake which was tasty, thick. We got the pittmaster platter to try everything. Might have been a bit on the pricey side but we loved trying everything. The presentation was great too. Would have just wanted one more bun but that’s just small thing. We would come here again

Brisket was bangin Stopped in for lunch and found a great new spot. Everything was clean and service was excellent. The brisket was cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor with a good balance of smoke. The bowl was delicious but excited to get a sandwich on the next visit. Definitely recommend.

Great unassuming barbecue spot in an industrial park. Don’t sleep on it if you’re out this way. We had Brisket and pork belly sandwiches, both great. Brisket was juicy and perfect. Get the laser potatoes, skip the coleslaw.

ELITE BBQ and food in general. They know what they’re doing here. How else would thriving so well with such weird hours. Everything from the brisket to pickles to potatoes, I saw good technique and execution. At a place like this the brisket better be banging, and it was but to be pulling off, croissants, laser potatoes and homemade pickles as well… round of applause.

I don’t throw the word “best” around lightly. This was the best brisket sandwich I’ve ever had. My fiancee’s pulled pork sandwich was the best I’ve ever tasted as well. Go here. Don’t let the high prices deter you. It’s worth it. Get the collards on the side.

A neighbor and myself decided to try this place out after hunting for a good breakfast. We both got the pork belly breakfast burrito. I recommend getting it without guacamole because the guacamole over powers the taste and you could hardly taste the pork belly. The burrito was still good though. For breakfast my favorite was the laser potatoes. The chocolate chip cookie was phenomenal as well. The prices seem to be high, but in my opinion it is high quality food prepared by a chef. The staff was really friendly. I will be back for lunch eventually. I hope to see this business at different events around QA county in the near future. Be careful with hot sauce because they are extremely hot. Keep up the good work Bark Barbecue Cafe.

If you want an amazing sandwich, this is the place! I had the brisket sandwich, a friend had the pork belly and wow, awesome flavor and it’s complimented by many sweets they have and an awesome Gelato !
