LA‼️‼️‼️WE LOVE YOU‼️‼️‼️
I am never in the area but searched for Gluten free food and came across this shop. From the website and page, i was under the impression that only the chinese salt&pepper flavour of wings was GF, but the lovely person serving us (LA you legend) informed me that EVERYTHING was GF!!! They showed me the allergen guide which calmed my nerves and adjusted our food so it was safe for me and my cousin to share!
10/10, absolutely will be returning when Im back in the area.
FOOD WAS DIVINE, IT IS A WHOLE EXPERIENCE

A Fantastic Experience at Bare Bones Chicken Wings!

We arrived at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 23rd, and were greeted by our server, Jake. From the moment we arrived, Jake was incredibly accommodating, taking our drink orders promptly before heading off to process them. He returned quickly with our drinks, and his friendly demeanor made the experience all the more enjoyable.

Two of us opted for the unlimited wings deal, and two others chose the wings-only unlimited option. One person wasn’t hungry, and the last chose a regular meal. For the value we received, we were extremely impressed. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. The variety of chicken flavours available was fantastic, and I must say, my favourite was the Hot Honey — absolutely delicious and packed with flavor!

The only thing I’d mention is that the restaurant is a bit small, so it’s definitely recommended to book in advance — we did so a week ahead of time. However, the atmosphere inside was warm and inviting, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy our meal. We think they should consider moving to a larger space to accommodate more guests!

I want to end by giving a huge shout out to Jake and the whole Bare Bones team! The atmosphere was great, and the service was top-notch. We truly appreciate all the hard work the team puts in, and we will definitely be recommending this spot to our friends.
We’re looking forward to coming back very soon!

Seems like wings and tenders are all the rage these days. And rightly so, for who doesn’t like a good bit of chicken and some feisty sauce.

Didn’t realise this place was here, but spotted last weekend and had to visit. Popular, but some seats available Saturday lunchtime and great prices.

Now I should say that I don’t generally order wings. I love the taste but hate the fiddling about getting the meat off the bones. The fact they also do tenders, therefore, is brilliant. Well done. Wings for the wing lovers, tenders for the others. Yes.

Ordered the tenders with hot honey and also buffalo. Both excellent, moist and tender. Juicy and plump. All of the superlatives made real. The smaller portion was plenty.

On the side, buffalo hash browns and chips. These were ok, it the chicken is definitely the star of the show.

Service was excellent and personable. The whole experience was a positive one.

This places really adds to Rochester’s burgeoning reputation as a food destination. Will definitely be back. Two paws firmly up.

Rebecca and Jake couldn’t have done anything more for us when we went along with the grandchildren yesterday evening. The food was absolutely delicious and every plate left empty. The whole experience was relaxed and chilled. Food to the table was quick but not rushed with Rebecca and Jake attentive but never intrusive and they us all feel very welcome. Serving 4 adults and 4 boys aged from 9 to 16 and keeping them happy is no small feat but the Bare Bones Rochester did us proud. The cost was also amazing value for money too. The perfect Sunday evening out with the kids. Absolutely fantastic and, Rebecca and Jake – thank you for the warmest of welcomes and looking after us. Steve and co.

Lovely crisp chicken wings with an awesome range of different toppings to try. The chips, sweetcorn and other sides were very well done as well. Definitely comparable to Wingstop and other trendy options.

Had a great Valentine’s Day meal here yesterday. First visit since it changed from third wave coffee and wasn’t disappointed in the slightest!
Tenders were SO tasty, the hash browns were a generous portion size too.
Fran, our waitress, was brilliant from the moment we stepped through the door. Very helpful, kind, and polite throughout our visit. She is a real testament to the business.

Food took well over an hour to arrive and the wings were not cooked properly – ordered a few times in the past and was nice but awful experience today.

Called to speak to a manager and was told someone will call me back in 5 but they didn’t

I’ve been looking for a reason to go to this restaurant for ages because of how much I love Chicken wings but I can’t lie I was very disappointed. We went on a Friday night 7:30pm – there was basically no customers which was a bad sign but we persevered. We ordered 3 flavours of wings plus fries, and Corn ribs. We also got a kids meal – their tagline line is ‘wings elevated’ but if I’m honest these were some of the most basic wings I’ve had in years. No real innovation or excitement just standard flavours you could get anywhere. In fact the server even commented on how small our actual wing pieces were but after commenting (unprovoked) went on to do absolutely nothing about it. No offer of more wings to compensate or a redo just commentary which is always fun. As I said the food was really basic but we spent about £70 so definitely not value for money. Also unfortunately the place was full of flies – literally there were these little flies everywhere and I hate flies being around my food so that put me off massively. All in all not a great experience and I would not recommend.

Ok. Were to begin.
Wing Wednesday is a complete rip off as the service is so slow that the ‘unlimited wings’ is in reality in maybe two or three portions if you’re lucky as they take forever to get your first order and then it seems deliberately take their time in getting back to you for your next order which takes forever to arrive.
The place is always under staffed both in the kitchen and in the restaurant, with delivery orders clearly taking priority over dine in customers and hence why the service is so poor.

I have been in a few times and the wings used to be really large portions and great value for the price.
Last visit was just insulting as the wings were tiny with barely any meat on them given the price.
The ‘chef’ kept disappearing out the back to smoke leaving the back door open sending a blast of cold air through the restaurant which we complained about but were informed with a shrug ‘he’s out the back’, and when they reappeared walked straight back into the kitchen and started to prepare food without washing their hands.
When we eventually got our order, one portion has really hot while the other along with the fries had been left on the counter in the passing cold air and were not even tepid.

The staff are clearly incapable, slow and obviously don’t want to be there and you feel like a burden rather than a welcome guest.

The restaurant is a bit run down, grimy and with zero atmosphere.
It’s a shame as it had such potential but has just been left to run itself into the ground

I won’t return and would advise anyone to consider visiting as your in for a let down

Absolutely wowed by this place, heard good things but never been. Service from Lesley Ann and chef Chis was spot on, good engagement good recommendations and to top it off…… a trial of every wing on the menu was not a disappointment. A pleasure to rank them, and a repeat order of our favourite may have amused the other guests but for us, an absolue treat. Looking forward to seeing you again and at Wing Fest 2026
