Few places in Puerto Rico offer a French experience that combines great food, excellent service, and an atmosphere that transports you to a restaurant that feels just like home.
La Maison Bardot, in its attempt to blend American Thanksgiving traditions with its French classics, achieved something remarkable.
From its classic foie gras served over a sweet plantain base, to the duck à l’orange, and even this organic turkey roulade with pigeon-pea risotto, gravy, stuffing, and green beans—each dish perfectly suited an intimate, family-oriented evening.
And the most spectacular highlight of the night? The croissant soufflé with pecans and hazelnut, served with crème anglaise.
Definitely something to be thankful for.
Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and our waiter Jorge was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were perfect!
What really elevated the experience was the Chef personally coming out to greet guests and thank everyone for being there — such a genuine and thoughtful touch.
Highly recommend this place
What truly stood out was the Chef, who personally came out to greet the guests and thank everyone for being there. That personal touch made the experience even more special. Highly recommend this restaurant — we’ll definitely be coming back!
Started with the white bean soup with truffle which was delicious. The lobster cake was excellent.
Main courses was the truffle pasta and the confit duck l’orange which was insanely tender.
Desert was a soufflé and the petit pot au chocolate
Can’t wait to go back and try the whole menu.
Also the chef does private dinners which would be great for an event
+ great sommelier assisted in finding a good substitute wine
+ Maître de very helpful in setting up our reservation the day before
– not the restaurant’s direct fault, but the table next to us had two pre teens that were constantly using their cell phones at a loud volume. Mostly the parents fault, but the staff should have intervened with a gentle reminder
Food: i ordered the burrata salad—- the focaccia toast was stale and cold. The cheese was weird in consistency, and could have been of better quality. Also I asked for the filet mignon—— well done. It came back medium rare. I didn’t say a word and ate it without complaining since l was very hungry. Last but not least we ordered the croissant sufflè, which was delicious. Sadly, a couple of ours after the meal I had a very bad stomach ache and diarrhea.
Could relate it to the salad, or the steak temperature, which i am not used to.
Ambience – small but beautiful.
Sadly, with what happened, Im afraid of going back to this place. The valet parking terribly slow and expensive.
The wine selection is top‑notch—especially that Malbec, which is smooth and velvety with just the right dark‑fruit kick. Bardot, you’ve got me hooked—I’ll be back, probably way too soon.
Jorge, our server, was the real MVP of the night—attentive without hovering.
