Excellent service and food for dinner! They have a great menu with a lot of options. We’ve tried 2 appetizers now and both were good. We came during the slow time of the year, but everything was great. Can’t beat the views out to the golf course!

Great environment and great food. Ribeye was amazing. Portions are shareable. Kenna was amazing and makes a great spicy Marg Elaine was our server and she was extremely kind/attentive.

We have ate here many times. Food is generally good. The last two times service was atrocious. Food was cold for breakfast. Breakfast was on a Saturday morning and the restaurant was empty, which was nice for getting a seat, but the wait staff spent more time at the hostess station talking to each other than they did providing basics like silverware, coffee refills, butter, ketchup, things you need to eat your food with

We have eaten here a number of times and find the food inconsistent. The breakfasts have been their best offerings but the lunches can vary. In my opinion they try a bit too hard to offer a wide ranging menu that is difficult to control the quality. I would rather see them cut about 20% of the menu items and concentrate on the quality of offerings. The service is usually attentive and friendly. Also, there is a beautiful view of the course from the dining room. The bar area is a bit cramped and loud, but about right for after game golfers.

Our son is in town for July 4th so thought we’d treat him to dinner at Barclays after enjoying some great music at the Orchard. Let me just say, it was a complete embarrassment! First, the restaurant had no tonic for our requested cocktails. Ok, stuff happens, so move on. I ordered chicken marsala for dinner. 10 minutes later server tells me it’s removed from the menu. Ok, so I ordered the strawberry fields salad with chicken. Server tells me they have no strawberries! Seriously, it’s the peak of strawberry season. Good grief! Our son ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was thin like a breakfast steak and literally like shoe leather. Couldn’t even cut it! It’s high season in Pinetop so I do not understand how this happened. Ridiculous to say in the least! Yes, it’s a first world problem, but we will not return. Truly ashamed to ever consider inviting anyone to eat there again. Denny’s would be superior to Barclay’s! The one positive is that the servers were very nice and constantly apologetic, but extremely embarrassed to keep
coming to our table to make excuses that were NOT their fault! Get it together Barclay’s! Shame on you. Restaurant wasn’t even 1/3 full of patrons. Maybe there’s a reason for that!? SO embarrassing! Boo!

Made reservations online…. didn’t need them. Pretty empty in a week night. Food was great, service was prompt & classy. Will be returning.

I stopped in last night, looking for a place to eat close to the condo we were visiting. The website showed that it was “bingo night” – so, while not a huge fan of bingo, thought it would be something to do/see. We got there and the place was empty… maybe 1 table of 2 people… we sat at the bar and the bartender was super nice.

The negative review was for the food. First off, we ordered the southwest salad. They were out of ranch. (Honestly, IDK how any restaurant in America can be out of ranch, since it comes with 80% of the menu.)

Switching out the order wasn’t an option, so we ate it with extra salsa and sour cream. Didn’t help, but the salad itself was lackluster… the only thing that made it “southwest” was that it had peppers on it (and came with salsa). Furthermore the guacamole was brown.

I feel like this place needs to reconsider that “open all year” concept. IDK how they can keep it up with 4 employees on in an empty evening. I don’t expect they’re paying over a server’s wage, so likely my $7 tip was the only thing our bartender made that night.

Maybe there were other options on the menu that didn’t require ranch, but we likely won’t return to find out.

I will say this, the staff was super nice. Even as we were leaving the girl folding napkins at the host stand said, “bye and thanks for coming in!” I so rarely hear that sort of kindness when leaving a restaurant. This place doesn’t have a staff problem, it has a management problem… I hope they figure it out.
