One of the best steaks I’ve had in my life and I’ve been to many good steakhouses around NY.

The steak was the star of the show. It was evenly cooked, even on the ends, had a perfect char, and we ordered medium rare and blood didn’t spew out – so they let it rest properly. Also, the presentation is great – the waiter gave us a choice of 5 different steak knives to choose from and he explained each one with detail.

The tater tots are not traditional with a crispy outside. They were more of a mashed tot and we were pleasantly surprised. Mushrooms were great as well – good variety and well seasoned. We ended with the pavlova for dessert.

We also loved the popover service. Fluffy and crispy with a nice sprinkling of cheese on top.

Also, service was amazing. Our waiter was friendly, energetic, and very knowledgeable, which made the experience great.

The one piece of feedback I have would be to up their cocktail game. My bf had an old fashioned and it was p weak (as in not much alcohol) and they used the smaller ice cubes (which prob made it taste weak). I liked my drink though (smoke gets in your rye) but it’s not for everyone’s it’s pretty alcohol forward. Feel like most steakhouses have a cocktail they do really well and I just didn’t see that distinctiveness here.

We dined at Barclay Prime with a group of seven and had an exceptional experience. Yes, the food and drinks are expensive—but absolutely worth it for the quality and service.

We started with shrimp cocktails, crab cakes, and broiled bone marrow, all of which were outstanding. For mains, our group ordered a variety ranging from salads to Chilean sea bass, filet mignons, and American Wagyu, and every dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.

The sides were just as impressive: truffle mac and cheese, sautéed spinach, whipped potatoes, and glazed Brussels sprouts—each one delicious and meant to be shared.

What truly elevated the experience was our server, Matthew. He was attentive, friendly, and professional. We never had to ask for water, and he always checked in about drinks before our glasses were empty.

Overall, Barclay Prime delivered an unforgettable dining experience. Perfect for special occasions or a splurge-worthy night out. Highly recommend.

First time here and had a wonderful experience. I went with seven other people.

Our server Glenn was fantastic. The food was excellent. We were given freshly baked popovers, which was amazing. We all asked for a 2nd refill. I had the scallops appetizer and the American Wagyu filet mignon (medium). We ordered sides: brussel sprouts, broccolini, whipped potatoes, and spinach, which were all delicious.

It is on the more expensive side but I would definitely come back.

I had the BEST ribeye steak and creme brulee I’ve ever had here. That texture and flavor of that steak was just incredible. I got the 40 day dry aged steak and I will remember that steak for the rest of my life. It was so cool they let you choose out of a case of knives which knife you want to use too. It felt like picking a sword from a legendary armory!

Went to celebrate my buddy’s 47 birthday tonight it was by far the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. When the waiter goes over the menu they go over the three different types of categories for the types of steak they serve. I ordered an old fashioned because that’s one of my drinks of choice, for an appetizer I had the seared foie gras with apple, pecans with a caramel sauce. If you order a steak before they present to you a tray of knifes to choose from, I chose the knife from France. For my main course I had a 8 oz filet mignon cooked medium rare a lobster tail au poivre sauce and potatoes gratin. Unfortunately I couldn’t get dessert because I was full. I will definitely be going back to Barclay Prime in the future because it is now my favorite restaurant.

Words cant describe my expirence on my 12/7 visit. I came here on my wife’s birthday and everything was amazing from Jackson’s service to the manager resetting my napkin in the 60 seconds I went to the restroom! The food was beyond amazing. I was only here one other time but my wife has decided this is her new birthday spot from now on! We even got to choose our own knives for the main course! Everything here was beyond 5 star

Can not say enough good things about this place. My wife and I went here for the first time to celebrate both of our birthdays and everything from the food to the service was phenomenal. Beautiful dining room.
Service was really bad… our server was short and snappy. TOO familiar!
Steak was good. Bone in Ribeye was not good, Ribeye and Ribeye cap was tasty…. Whatever you do, DO NOT have them pre-slice it for you. You will not get the full steak. We compared our “sliced” ribeye with the Table next to us and ours was 3/4 the size of theirs…

Simply great! Stopped by around 9 pm after a 76ers game. Atmosphere and presentation is wonderful. Fresh baked artisan un to start, delicious. Menu is chock full of carnivore delights! Started with bone marrow with caramelized onions and special toast, then picked the American Wagyu Porterhouse medium rare, split with my wife. Luscious, both the steak and my wife. Ended with a banana Creme bullet. A very satisfying taste treat to end a great visit to Philadelphia. The 76ers team had the table reservation across from us but never showed. That would have added to a great experience. In any event, you will love Barclay Prime!

Went with family and tried the A5 Japanese Wagyu steak and WOW best steak we have ever tasted. The Dover Sole, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, creamy spinach , beef and tuna tar tar and the scallops were also delicious
