Went for a birthday dinner and it was nice. I think the menu has a lot of unique options. The flan has a delicious caramel flavor and I loved the beef empanadas as well (seasoned well). The layered potato tapa with sauce was kind of plain. I think the meatballs should be served with a bread so that it’s not just the marinara sauce. The olive oil cake was okay (not really my cup of tea but I know it’s popular). The paella was good but I the seafood in it can be seasoned better because it just tasted sea-salty. As far as the drinks, I had one that was mixed with vodka, sangria, grapefruit, etc. and it was okay. Definitely a good option if you don’t want a strong-tasting drink. The service was good, the restaurant and bar looks nice, and I was treated very well. I would say the vibe is very chill. My friends and I dressed semi-casual. I got a “happy birthday” dessert and presentation with the olive oil cake and ice cream

The wine selection was unique and thoughtfully curated, with plenty of interesting options you don’t see everywhere. The tapas were tasty, classic, and beautifully done. Perfect for sharing and sampling a little bit of everything.
Even during a busy Gasparilla, the atmosphere was still warm, lively, and enjoyable. Huge shoutout to the staff and the manager on duty. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the day even better.
When it started getting a little busy and we were in a bit of a hurry, they were so mindful of our timing and made sure we were taken care of and out in time to enjoy all of the festivities.
And do not skip the olive oil cake. It’s an award winner for a reason. SINFULLY good. Absolutely outstanding and a must-try.

Had mixed experiences here. Ate here a few months back and the food was good. Went back yesterday and it seemed like everything fell apart, we were a group of about 12 people. We ordered a combination of hot and cold tapas and large plates. The tapas came out well and they tasted good; the large plates took 55 minutes to come to the table. 30 minutes after tapas were served, so now we have people on our table who have finished their meals waiting on food to come out for those who hadn’t got their meals. In the defense of the server, she did state that it takes 45 minutes to cook large plates. The chef came out to say that the chicken takes the longest to cook so it took long. After we reviewed our main plates, the accompaniments like salads and fries took another 10 minutes to come out after we started eating. So not a pleasant experience. My recommendation is not to order the large plates, unless the restaurant figures out a way to maybe streamline how they get the food out properly.

Came out on Saturday night after Christmas for the first time with our teens. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The service and attention from managers during our meal was exceptional. Our server was excellent at pacing our food to ensure all our tapas made it to the table hot. Can’t wait to go back with friends.

We were in the mood for tapas and decided to stop in. They have a wide variety of tapas and charcuterie to choose from and an extensive wine list. We tried several tapas and none of them disappointed. My overall favorite was the swordfish, but all were excellent at blending flavors together. The ambiance and service is excellent and definitely worth a return visit.

We celebrate my mom’s birthday at Barcelona and they did such a wonderful job at making my mom feel special. I picked Barcelona because of the consistency of the restaurant and the ease of sharing mini plates between small groups. They printed “Happy Birthday Margo” on all of our menu’s, and gave her a card that was hand signed by several of the wait staff. They also lit a candle on a piece of Olive Oil cake. Our server was great and made sure we were all taken care of, and split the checks up easily between the 6 of us. If you are looking for a spot in Tampa to celebrate your birthday with a small to medium size group, Barcelona is the PERFECT spot! Thank you, again for your hospitality!

Came to this place on Saturday night with our party of 7 and it’s a nice location by the bay. The restaurant is actually next to Counter Culture to help readers find the place.
It was very loud inside and made it hard to communicate across our table but the music was upbeat and fun so there is the pro!
Our server was great! She took her time to explain the menu and didn’t get frustrated with extra questions and having to juggle our table in the middle of Saturday rush hour.
The sides were all very tasty. We had the mushrooms, batata, chicken, beets, spinach and chickpeas, Brussels sprouts, fried pork balls and the mussels! All of the sides were delicious!
The seafood paella was very dry and the rice was crunchy! I know the perfect paella should be al dente rice so I’ll give the kitchen a pass because the place was super busy!
Drinks were on point and made perfectly for all of us!

Since I was busy catching up with my frirnds, I forgot to take pictures of everything on our table.
Drink – Dos Peninsulas (delicious and totally unlike a traditional lemon drop that is too sweet). This was balanced, bright, and just what I wanted for a chill day.
Food – beef empanadas, olive oil cake, chickpeas and sofrito, patatas bravas, croquettas, and truffled bikini. All absolutely delicious.
Service – Everyone was kind and welcoming. Thank you for a great afternoon and setting a relaxing atmosphere.
Valet – First time using a valet service that sent a text and link for car pick-up. That was a nice touch. More companies should implement this type of service.

He was hands down one of the best servers we’ve ever had—super knowledgeable about the menu, attentive without being overbearing, and made fantastic recommendations.
