Perhaps my Spanish background and the fact I’ve eaten authentic Spanish food before will make this review hard on Barcelona, but here we go. First, the restaurant ambience is beautiful, not too loud, and with perfect lighting. Street parking isn’t too difficult.
The staff: they are courteous and pleasant. We were seated right away and they kept checking to make sure we didn’t need anything else. The only minor issue is they didn’t show us a wine list and neither they offered us wine. Pretty weird considering it’s a Spanish restaurant. We ended up ordering Sangria, which was delicious.
The food: the portions are incredibly small and pricey. We went for dinner and we left with plenty of room for more. I can’t fathom the portion’s size for lunch if dinner couldn’t make the cut. Overall, the food was good. Nothing spectacular, but alright. The Paella, however, was a big dissapointment. I think the thickness on the bed of rice was only 1 cm and some parts were burned, like charcoal. We found 2 shrimps, 5 mussels and 2 small pieces of chicken. Instead of seafood, the Paella had a marinara sauce flavor on it and they added lemon wedges as garnishment. I almost fell off my chair! It made me remember what a true and authentic Paella is: a huge portion of soft and fluffy rice, seasoned with garlic, onions, saffron and red pepper; with an intense flavor and aroma of seafood. In Spain they place olive oil on the table, so you can custom-drizzle your Paella. Truly delicious.
Message for Barcelona Restaurant: you have to step up your Paella making skills, or stop calling yourself a Spanish Restaurant. We will probably come back to try other dishes, pero no probaremos la Paella otra vez.

Wow! This place was absolutely amazing. We had their known Barcelona paella and man it did not disappoint. It was our anniversary and they gave us a free dessert and just made our entire experience so magical and lovely. Food was 10/10 and the atmosphere was even better.

Barcelona has always been one of my favorite establishments! The service, the food in the aesthetics are always top-notch! They handled our large group with ease! This is by far our favorite place in Columbus to have a drink and eat. Great atmosphere inside or out on the patio when weather permits.

You also get retail on full bottle of wine. The chef also prepares an amuse-bouche (hand delivered) for you and your table up to four people. Best restaurant deal in town.

I took my wife here for her birthday dinner and it was excellent. Brad was our server and he had excellent suggestions and provided excellent service. He helped me choose a good wine for a good price and wasn’t pushy so I trusted his judgment which is rare these days. Our food was delicious. I had a pork shank with polenta and she had the paella. The small plates were so tiny. I mean, I know they are “small plates”, but still, we are talking one or two bites of food lol. If you’re hungry definitely just go for an entree. The entrees were good portions and delicious. Also, the decor of this restaurant is just beautiful and sophisticated. The manager was sitting at the bar doing some paperwork. He looked stressed or a bit tired, but hey it’s the holidays. I stopped by and told him we had a great time and asked if he could take a photo for us. He happily did so and thanked us for our visit. All around a good experience!

First time visiting the restaurant as we had a friend come over from Cincinnati. Happy hour menu was reasonable especially the tapas (they only serve them at the bar which had a very wide table). They were all good. Yana served us and she’s been a delightful person the whole time we were there so make sure you ask for her (she’s at the bar). She made my Martini and it was so good! I tasted the sangria too and it was perfect.

We just celebrated our anniversary here, spent our honeymoon on barcelona so we were excited about trying it out. We loved it, our server (Sarah I believe) was great, the drinks were fantastic, best sangria I’ve ever had. My wife is vegetarian so the Verde paella was our choice and we loved it. We will be back.

Three of us shared empanadas, patatas, churros, chorizo, burrata, and the Mariscos paella. The space is pretty, the service was good, the food was very good. We finished with the panna cotta and orange pistachio cake and both were very good. Extensive wine list though I was hoping for a couple of bottles of more exclusive wines for being a wine spectator award winner. I would give it 4.5 across the board.

Was definitely a great experience the patio seating is where it’s at if you can sit out there.
Our service was amazing and the food was delicious. The proportions were also fairly big there are some options to share as well. Definitely worth the experience!!
