My husband and I ordered chicken and red velvet waffle, small Mac n cheese, and a turkey barbecue plate with corn bread, Mac n cheese, and baked beans. All of the food was good. The turkey barbecue was mind blowing. It was nothing like my husband and I was expecting, but it was delicious! We are definitely going back again.

We have visted Fayettevill seveal times on our recent visit we stayed in Hope Mills. I asked the hotel front desk for good near by places to eat and Barbara Anns Southern Fried Chicken was of the places. One night my wife wanted some soul food sides so we put Barbara Ann’s in Waze and we were on our way. We drove by it twice and the Waze crazy but we finally parked and then we saw the sign. Small pickup only location but they do have good food and my wife enjoyed her sides. We will come again for a more complete meal.

We ordered online for pickup at 3:30 pm. We didn’t get our food until 3-4 hours later. This is ridiculous greens were bland, the baked beans seem to be from the bottom of the pot that was burnt and the Mac and cheese needed more seasoning and flavor. As far as the chicken it was ok maybe after waiting that long for food you would think the chicken would have fresh and hot but no at all. They had plenty of people on staff so this was very unacceptable.

I decided to try this place for a cheat day. I just got sides and omg. This food made me dance. All I know is next time I’m ordering food for 2 days because I haven’t had good soul food like this in a long time. Yes it’s the south but these days the food is either too greasy, porky or some type of fusion. Not this place.

Its not fast food so don’t get mad when it takes a little for your food. But let me tell you worth the wait 100% the waffle was practically like cake it was so moist and delicious. And the fried chicken was fresh and cooked to perfection! They where super busy but extremely friendly definitely will be going again

Closest thing to home cooking. I had chicken and waffles. Also, mac, yams, and greens. Everything was excellent. FYI this isn’t a dine in restaurant.

If you have medical ills like high BP or Diiabetes, Do not go to this place. The collardgreens tasted like it Was in a house and over cooked. I never herd of chopped bbq turkey. So I brought 2 dinners for the family. In my mind im thinking its going to be good. It was HORRIBLE. The turkey was dry and no seasons and punished in vinegar and might I add NO BBQ SAUCE,NONE! Chicken Gizzards, exstreamly salted and overcooked. Rice in gravy, cheap grain of rice and gravy exstreamly Salted and overcooked unseasoned. Fried chicken not as salty as the rest as I stated. The red velvet waffle overwhelmed with sugar. The cornbread was Good. The Mac n cheese was is a 4 out of 5. Now about my taste buds and food experience. Im born and rasied New Yorker. And family up and down the east coast. My age is from when Hip Hop was created. I witnessed life changings from the Sun to the quality of life and food. If I had to pick states I like most for the food? Nyc and SC. Hands down! I have spent alot of money on restaurants and takeouts in Fayetteville and scrounging areas and Im not impressed. From many nationalities. I’ve had better fried chicken from Haris teeter and affordable And there pizza and hero’s or the south calls Subs. My only real option is to cook because I can beat the pots plus I know what’s in my food. Safty above all els. As for this establishment will I return? No, I had to Garbage it a waste of 127.00.
To each is own but this is my honest review…

I really want to support small businesses, but this experience was extremely disappointing. We were required to pay before the food was prepared, only to get our order and find items missing. When we called, we were told they couldn’t refund the missing items and that we would need to drive back to pick them up—using more of our own gas and time—to fix their mistake.

Mistakes happen, but how they’re handled matters. Expecting customers to spend additional money and time to correct an error made by the business isn’t acceptable. Unfortunately, this won’t be a place we return to. Their attitude is very disheartening as well as if they are doing you a favor????

My food was fresh and HOT! My fried chicken was crispy, Mac n cheese was delicious, and my red velvet waffle was perfect. My husband had the turkey bbq plate and ate everything. He’s picky about his Mac n cheese but said it was amazing!
