I used to come to this place for the octopus, but they have changed to recipe and now it is way less sophisticated. So I ordered Parma pizza and calamari salad this time. The pizza was tasteless: crust, mushrooms, sauce. All except prosciutto, which was very salty. The salad was good, except that the hazelnuts were old, so when you get one on the bite, it spoiled the taste.

I liked the place, the food, and the service. I would only prefer the milanesa and the pasta to be a bit bigger, like the affogato though. I also liked the desserts and the pizza. They also have a wide selection of original wines by the glass.

Having visited several times with both small and larger groups, our most recent dinner was a late Friday reservation for seven. A beautiful Naples evening allowed for outdoor seating, which added to the atmosphere. The overall vibe at Mercato is lively and engaging, and Bar Tulia fits comfortably within that scene.
Service was a highlight. Our server was attentive, personable, and helpful in guiding the table through menu selections. The food remains the restaurant’s strongest asset. My meal—a meatless pasta dish accompanied by a Caesar salad—was well executed, with thoughtful presentation and solid flavors throughout. Others at the table echoed similar satisfaction with their selections.
There were, however, a few logistical drawbacks. Our outdoor table, positioned close to the pedestrian walkway, felt quite cramped for a party of seven. The table itself was small for the group size, and as someone on the taller side, the seating arrangement proved somewhat uncomfortable over the course of the meal.
The beverage program offers a standard selection of wines and cocktails—reliable and perfectly suitable for the setting, though not particularly distinctive.
Overall, Bar Tulia remains a dependable stop for dinner while enjoying an evening at Mercato. With consistently good food, attentive service, and an energetic setting, it continues to earn its place among the area’s reliable dining options—particularly if you secure a table with a bit more space.

My wife and I came for a date night and were blown away. The food, cocktails, and wine were all amazing! We were able to order apps and drinks on the happy hour menu and they had a special for their butternut squash ravioli with truffle cream sauce. We were blown away by the thoughtfully prepared menu and the quality of the ingredients. Must try!

One of my favorite places in Mercato. Great food and service. Great for people watching and conversation. Menu changes regularly. Appetizers are generous – Eggplant with bread and Meatballs are a favorite. Pasta and Flatbreads- can’t go wrong.

We wanted to book a birthday dinner for 14. At first we agreed on 2 locations that would be tight for 14 but good for our party and booked the reservation. When we called to confirm which location, the story had changed. Now they could not guarantee any particular area unless we agreed to a $1,200 minimum spend before tax and tip. Based on the menu prices, we would probably be at half that amount. I would have no problem with a minimum per person ($40?) and would pay for any cancellations. We are not cheap, but that minimum for 14 is unreasonable. We are locals, and there are 600+ restaurants in Naples. Plenty of other choices!

We were so pleased to find that they not only maintain lunch hours during the off-season, but they also offer an incredible lunch special. This isn’t a scaled-down version; you get full, generous portions of their delicious offerings, which is a rare treat!
Our waitress, Hristina, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly attentive, polite, and remarkably fast. Her excellent service truly enhanced our dining experience.
Highly recommend Bar Tulia Mercato Naples for their consistently great food, fantastic off-season lunch specials, and top-notch service!

The ambience is very nice and quite similar with some differences in the menu – like the Zucchini Chips!!! Please bring those to the Mercato location! Thanks in advance. The vibe is great here – very rustic and romantic. The food here is consistently good and although it’s not the very best pizza in the area, it is very good and cooked authentically in a proper pizza oven for Neapolitan style pizza and with quality ingredients. It is one our family go-to spots. Enjoy!
