A cool new bar/restaurant in Greenville. I LOVE the green front door and the interior decor, so stylish! It’s a nice day so we decided to have brunch in their covered patio. The delectable pastry display by the bar immediately got my attention. A bar staff welcomed us and described the pastry display. We had the croissant sandwich, breakfast sandwich, and pastry basket. Overall food was ok.

Went here because a friend saw an article in Delaware Today (I did not see it). The interior decor is very nice, the space is small with table seating and seating at the bar. The noise level is very high, the four of us were seated at a table and it was near impossible to hold a conversation. We shared the Charcuterie Board the cheeses were nice as were the house made crackers. This was the highlight of the night for me. My oysters were small and not prepared correctly. the muscle connecting the oyster to the shell was not cut on four of the six. Which meant I had to wrestle with them thus to eat them. For my main course I had the haddock, I believe the menu said “in the Thai style” which I took to mean it would have a little heat to it . The presentation included a waiter pouring a broth over the fish, it must have been chicken broth because it had no flavor to speak of. While the fish and veggies were prepared well it was under spiced and definitely did not have any hint of Thai influence I was hoping for , so I was very disappointing.Everyone else had the same experience, the food was prepared well but for restaurant in this upscale area trying to be that, Upscale it just missed the mark. The service was a little quaky also quick at first then non existent. On the bright side the wine list is excellent. I was hoping this was going to be a four star experience (above average ) but feel that they fell way short of that, even to the point of not being a three stars (below average) for an upscale restaurant. Thus the two stars.

Such a cool vibe and there’s nothing like it around here! I went for dinner and had the snapper (it was excellent and the sauce was fantastic). My dessert was delicious and the wine was great. The wine menu is really extensive and different from any of the restaurants around here so I’m excited to go back and work my way through it. I have also been for pastries and coffee in the morning and they were really good! Such a phenomenal addition to our area – highly recommend!!!

It was a very pleasant experience overall. The food is fresh and delicious. 2 negatives that I think are noteworthy because the restaurant reaches for high standards. The bread was a day old that I found surprising because it was served with pride. Their Cruvinet wines are good but could be better for the prices they charge. Not a good value and disappointing. Very few are rated in the 90’s and most are fairly inexpensive if bought at retail. That said, the restaurant is a huge upgrade to Delaware and we will be back.

We had the most delightful and delicious dinner at Bar Reverie—I truly can’t recommend it enough. From an atmosphere that feels like you’re a world away for the evening to the impeccable food and drinks and service, it’s a wonderful experience and a great addition to the local dining scene. Seriously five stars all around!
