I had an amazing experience here! The service was top-tier. The staff were super friendly and really attentive. I asked for lemon drops instead of one of the cocktails on the menu and they executed it perfectly. The whole aesthetic of the restaurant is calm, clean, and just a vibe. And let me tell you… the lamb lollipops were the bomb. Definitely coming back!

Bar Reverie – Greenville, Delaware
4017 Kennett Pike | Greenville, DE

From the moment we arrived, Bar Reverie blew us away. This isn’t simply a wine bar or restaurant — it’s a full sensory experience, from the glowing fire pit outside to the refined décor inside to the astonishing wine program behind the bar. It deserves its place among the best restaurants in Greenville, Delaware, and truly stands out as one of the top wine destinations near Wilmington DE.

✨ Ambience & First Impressions

Walking in, the warm light, elegant design lines, and rich textures immediately set the stage for something exceptional. The décor, by Lauren Golt, is European-modern with touches of green, gold, and black, conveying quiet sophistication. Even the bathrooms, featuring designer wallpapers by Chris Benz and Sarah Jessica Parker, show Bar Reverie’s dedication to every detail — a hallmark of upscale restaurants in Delaware.

The fire pit out front invites guests to linger — a perfect start to an evening of wine, conversation, and fine dining along Kennett Pike in Greenville.

Wine & Beverage Program (Game-Changer Moment)

This is where Bar Reverie really sets itself apart. Behind the bar is a 24-tap, temperature-controlled Cruvinet Wine System, keeping each pour fresh and properly chilled.

Here’s what makes it special: you know when you see a wine list full of expensive bottles you’ve never tried — you hesitate to order the whole bottle, or you’re just not sure what to pick? At Bar Reverie, you can actually taste high-end wines by the glass thanks to this innovative system. That means you can sample rare and premium vintages without committing to the full bottle — an unbelievable perk for any wine lover in Delaware.

Their list spans reds, whites, rosés, and dessert wines from around the world, with expert pairing recommendations from staff who clearly know their craft. The cocktail program is equally refined — the French Martini, Espresso Martini, bourbons, and Cognac service are all exceptional.

If you’re searching for a top wine bar in Greenville DE or a fine-dining restaurant with a Cruvinet system near Wilmington, Bar Reverie is it.

️ What We Ate (And Loved)
• Chips with the “crack” dip — dangerously addictive.
• Lollipop lamb chops with a bright, flavorful chimichurri sauce.
• Halibut atop savoy cabbage and celery-root purée — delicate, buttery perfection.
• Steak, cooked just right, with optional sauces to enhance each bite.
• Gourmet cheeseburger with their signature sauce — a must-try.
• Desserts: Caramel cheesecake with cinnamon and warm apple pie with caramel drizzle — comforting and elegant.

Every dish reflected attention to texture, temperature, and plating — a masterclass in balance from one of the best kitchens in Greenville Delaware.

‍ Chef, Vision & Team

Executive Chef Manisha Collet-Govinden, trained in Paris, brings global inspiration and technical mastery to every dish. Bar Reverie embraces a travel-inspired fine dining concept, fusing flavors from Paris, London, New York, and Los Angeles — yet keeping it relaxed and local.

The service matches the sophistication of the food: attentive, professional, and genuine. The team has clearly been trained to deliver a true fine dining experience in Greenville DE without pretension.

Highly impressed with Bar Reverie. My mother and I come here for lunch quite often. The crabcake sliders are outstanding! So is the atmosphere AND the waitstaff. We are already looking forward to coming back again!

Bar Reverie absolutely blew me away with their exceptional bar service and ever-changing drink menu. The bartenders, Jake and Susan, are true artists—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their craft. They made the whole experience feel personal and memorable.

I tried the You Miso Me Happy, which was rich, complex, and totally unique. Life’s a Prick was another standout—bright, crisp, and incredibly refreshing.

With inventive cocktails rotating regularly and bartenders like Jake and Susan behind the bar, Bar Reverie is a must-visit for anyone who loves a great drink and a great vibe. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Went for brunch and had 2 eggs any style and the BEC. Potatoes were very flavorful and served hot – delicious. Burger cooked perfectly. Scrapple was thin and overcooked. Good wine list and accept paying $14 for a glass but $15 for a Bloody Mary – not so much. BEC Burger $12. Nice menu selections.

My husband and I went for brunch and dinner to celebrate our first wedding anniversary!
Bar Reverie definitely exceeded our expectations—
Brunch was the yogurt parfait and the “Brunch Punch” cocktail, both very nice and well-balanced + my husband got the crepes (served with 3 different toppings!)
It seems the morning (Breakfast/Brunch) is slightly more casual than dinner.

Make sure you have a reservation for dinner, because when we went it was packed!
Portions were just right and the quality of the food was worth it for the price.

There’s a very large wine selection, we asked about the best pairings and were given a few choices based off of our preferences; definitely so that if y’all, like us, don’t know anything about wine.
Cocktails were also good, well-balanced and not overly- strong

All the waiters, hosts/esses, managers, everyone who works there are very attentive + knowledgeable!

Went here because a friend saw an article in Delaware Today (I did not see it). The interior decor is very nice, the space is small with table seating and seating at the bar. The noise level is very high, the four of us were seated at a table and it was near impossible to hold a conversation. We shared the Charcuterie Board the cheeses were nice as were the house made crackers. This was the highlight of the night for me. My oysters were small and not prepared correctly. the muscle connecting the oyster to the shell was not cut on four of the six. Which meant I had to wrestle with them thus to eat them. For my main course I had the haddock, I believe the menu said “in the Thai style” which I took to mean it would have a little heat to it . The presentation included a waiter pouring a broth over the fish, it must have been chicken broth because it had no flavor to speak of. While the fish and veggies were prepared well it was under spiced and definitely did not have any hint of Thai influence I was hoping for , so I was very disappointing.Everyone else had the same experience, the food was prepared well but for restaurant in this upscale area trying to be that, Upscale it just missed the mark. The service was a little quaky also quick at first then non existent. On the bright side the wine list is excellent. I was hoping this was going to be a four star experience (above average ) but feel that they fell way short of that, even to the point of not being a three stars (below average) for an upscale restaurant. Thus the two stars.

Bar Reverie is amazing ! The bar has a beautiful backdrop, comfortable seating, and an amazing skilled bartender serving cocktails. I had the BR wagyu beef burger which was oozing with flavor with a nice kick along with the aged cheddar. Go for the side of onion rings, delicious. The charcuterie board was delicious and good presentation as well.

My wife and I came here for Valentine’s Day last night. The place was only half full which was strange. That being said, service was annoyingly slow. Took forever for our server to come to our table. Another long wait before they brought us drinks and another wait before they brought bread to the table. We waited at least 30 minutes for our entrees and even with that, they got my wife’s order wrong. Food was good but not great. All in all, a very mediocre experience and will probably not go back.

A cool new bar/restaurant in Greenville. I LOVE the green front door and the interior decor, so stylish! It’s a nice day so we decided to have brunch in their covered patio. The delectable pastry display by the bar immediately got my attention. A bar staff welcomed us and described the pastry display. We had the croissant sandwich, breakfast sandwich, and pastry basket. Overall food was ok.

The tastiest things are actually the in-house prepared pastries ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We’d go back again to get more pastries and try their cocktails. Service was also amazing. Every single staff there was incredibly friendly and attentive!
