I had the pumpkin ravioli, which was delicious, creamy, and sweet. Also shared several dishes: meatballs, olives, a meat & cheese board, and tiramisu. I would recommend any of these options. From the hostess to our sweet waitress, everyone was kind and professional with fantastic recommendations. There’s usually plenty of parking on the square, and Covington is such a cute little town. I went during the holiday season, so the lights were lovely. Highly recommend!

Bar Oscar is a nice addition to Covington! Like others stated, it’s a “small” plate, limited menu restaurant and bar. Think a la cart appetizers. It’s pricey and I was skeptical because of the small portions, however, I changed my mind about that.
It was an opportunity to taste several foods and they DID NOT disappoint! I enjoyed everything ordered as well as the drinks! Spent a little over $100 with tip.
**The only thing I feel they could improve on is having a designated hostess to greet and seat customers.
Upon entering, we were standing around waiting to be greeted. I eventually stopped a bartender to ask about getting seated. Other customers had to do this as well. The ladies were friendly and took our name and told us how long the wait time would be.
From what I observed while waiting, the servers were hosting, bussing tables, bartender and serving. They looked a bit frazzled running in every direction but made it work.

The restaurant/bar is amazing! Great atmosphere is you’re looking for great drinks, wine and small plates. The extremely limited menu was curated nicely and has something for everyone.. I would highly recommend this place if your main concern is great drinks and lite eatery. If you have dietary restrictions (like no pork or diary) then this is not the place for you! We had the marinated olives which are top tier and the bolognese (chef’s kiss)!

Beautiful patio, warm focaccia bread to start, and some of the best service I’ve had in a long time (shoutout to Ivan!). The Cuban daiquiri was delicious, the burrata was creamy and fresh, and the duck-fat fried tots with roe was an elevated experience from the usual tater tot. The server said they had the best Tiramisu and that I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else…. He was so right! Loved that the menu changes weekly. Can’t wait to come back to see what’s new!

Cool space, great food and drinks…prices are very reasonable for food of this quality. Handmade pastas, breads and cheeses. Best meal I’ve had in the area in years. Shout out to Reese & Anthony at the bar …excellent bartenders. The tirramasu is a shareable delight.

This was such a fun experience. With a menu that changes weekly, you’ll never get bored on a repeat visit. Fabulous wine choices and tapas style food service make this a great place to spend an evening visiting your favorite people while trying new dishes. Oh! And the homemade pasta? Yum. Please note that each dish served is very small. It is a taste and not a full entree. If you are looking for a large plate of food, this isn’t for you. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and about 5 choices from the menu, which were brought out one at a time, plus the amazing tiramisu for desert and our total was about $125 with tip. Great atmosphere and love the outdoor space for chilling on the weekend. We will definitely be back!

This is our second time to Bar Oscar and both times have been amazing. The food is delicious as well as the cocktails. We ordered the Frisee aux Lardon, Parmesan pasta, Cacio e Pepe, Straciatella, Ricotta Donuts, and Tiramisu. The service is impeccable. It has become our new favorite spot. Highly recommend this place. Their menu changes often, so check Instagram for updates.

Great Italian tapas style menu. I came with my two children, and my daughter loved the food so much that she told our waitress they have “the best chefs.” The wine selection was also excellent. I love that we can enjoy city quality dining right here in our area. We will definitely be back!
