Bar Moro is a celebration of Iberian and Mediterranean food culture. Our aim is to create a dining experience that is both sophisticated and relaxed. Chef Ben Poremba and team created a menu highlighting the bounty of Spanish artisanal products and food traditions.
Bar Moro is as much bar as restaurant, with impressive wine selections exclusively from Spain and Portugal, a special emphasis on Sherry and vinos genorosos, and vermuts and aromatized wines.

Incredible spot in Clayton, I’ve never really went out of my way to try Mediterranean/Iberian food before but now I know a spot where I can! The spot is very well put together, gives the luxury of a new place and cleanliness, but it also is very comfortable to be able to sit at a table and enjoy yourself and the wonderful dishes they serve! Anthony the Head Chef even came out and spoke with us and his master pieces, I love the story behind them and even more the taste! All the waiters were very polite and helpful to give us a great experience. Didn’t even feel like I was in Missouri 10/10 over and over, I would definitely go again! Thank you Bar Moro

There were some amazing dishes at Bar Moro – the jamon, the bacon wrapped dates, and the churros were absolutely stellar stand outs. The seating is very close and intimate, but the servers still manage to deliver good service and find a place for all the food ordered by the table. We enjoyed our meal!

Quaint little spot with a cool vibe. Alcohol selection was great with some delicious modern takes on Iberian cuisine. We tried the two specials which featured wagyu filet and duck breast. The entrees are sharable which makes for a great place to go with friends and try new food.

A great restaurant for an intimate meal. Service was great, the food selections were interesting, and the small plate experience was well done here. We recommend the baccala and the bacon wrapped dates.

First time in St Louis and trying Bar Moro. The atmosphere when you first arrive is deep and inviting with dark colors and mood lighting. I was there for a casual meal on a work trip but this would be a perfect spot for a more intimate meal.
Tried their specials for the night. Wagyu filet mignon and the duck breast. Both dishes were excellent and presented uniquely bold flavors. I tried to Dão Tinto 2019 wine which pair brilliantly with the dishes.
Overall this was a great experience and i would recommend giving them a try!
Some notes to keep in mind is the seating is very limited and I felt lucky there was a table available when i arrived, I would recommend calling ahead for a reservation.

I rarely leave Google reviews unless a restaurant is truly exceptional or the experience is disappointing. This place is one of my absolute favorites in St. Louis. I moved to New York a few months ago, but I still find myself missing the food here. I’ve visited multiple times with friends and family, and every time, the atmosphere has been amazing. The food is absolutely outstanding—it has a soul to it, and you can tell how much care and effort the chef puts into every dish. I also had the best cabbage I’ve ever had here! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Fun shotgun restaurant with plenty of ambiance. Service was excellent. Our main took some time to come out during a shift change at a late night reservation and they comped part of our meal without even asking or having to give feedback. Can’t wait to come back! Lives up to the expectations we have of any place coming out of Nixa Group. Top notch!

WOW! Bar Moro has blown me away. This restaurant has been on my list for a while and I am still smiling from the great experience. Walking in, I loved the aesthetic and vibes of the place. The decor and lighting (while almost too dim to read a menu) really sets the vibe for an intimate setting.
As for the food and drink, we had a great time taking recommendations from our amazing server. The two glasses of sherry were so different and delightful. While I can’t remember the names, mine was sweet and almost like a port wine while my partner’s had a nice twang and dry finish.
To eat, we had the mohamara – a sauce with bread – and the scallops that come in a tin. Yes you read that correctly, a tin. Seems odd but they were absolutely delicious! We ended the night with a flan and I couldn’t have asked for a better evening 🙂

Beautiful restaurant. It’s very dark and there are candles sprinkled throughout and a crystal net. We sat at the bar which looks into the kitchen. It is a very small space and lots of hustle and bustle around you. There’s a complimentary coat check.
We split 5 small plates and shrimp as a main between two people and were very full, could’ve done without one or two small plates. But they were all delicious. They have a nice sherry and vermouth list, great gin cocktails and others. Excellent drinks and beautiful glassware. And excellent service.

We are on a quest to try all of Ben Poremba’s restaurants and this was another win in my book. The canned items were good, I’m not a huge fan of canned seafood but the tuna in olive oil was really yummy. We got the cheese board and that was very good as well—quite pricey at $30 for what you get. The chicken was probably one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had.
