I absolutely LOVE Bar Louie, I went all the time when I lived in Michigan! I went to this location and the EFFEN Good martini was the most delicious and refreshing drink I’ve had in a while! It’s a cucumber based martini and tastes like something you’d want to drink on a hot summer night. As for the food, I get the same thing every time; the loaded tots. There was only cheese and toppings on about 6 tater tots which is okay because I wasn’t too hungry anyway. I just thought it was funny. Anywho, I’d recommend the fried chicken sandwich, really any Martini (because they’re so good!), and the spinach and artichoke dip!

On our annual girls vacay and happened into the restaurant. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. We were thinking about another restaurant and she gave us water and told us to take our time thinking about whether we wanted to stay or not. Of course, we stayed and were glad we did. The drinks were so refreshing and delicious. I ordered fried pickles to start. They were amazing with their dipping sauce. Our food was perfectly prepared. When we were ready to leave, she separated our bill easily at the table. The experience was wonderful. The atmosphere was incredible. I would recommend it stopping here.

The bar service is quick and friendly. Despite heavy foot traffic in the entertainment district Bar Louie did not seem very busy. I arrived when they first opened. It was evident they needed more help . Within the first hour additional help arrived.
Placing a lunch order for food still took a long wait. The atmosphere was great which softened that wait. Overall it was a fun experience and I would definitely return.
Also, they are a dog friendly establishment.

Stopped by Bar Louie at Westgate and instantly fell in love with the Wild Berry Margarita only 230 calories and absolutely delicious! Fruity, refreshing, and just the right mix of sweet and tart. The vibe was on point. Good music, good crowd, and just an all-around fun spot anytime.
Definitely my new favorite place for a margarita!

We waited an hour before we were told the kitchen was out of half of the food we ordered and we were asked to order something else. Then the food that did come out was “what we could come up with” and cold mac and cheese. The manager said the cook had to leave so that is why things were unavailable. We were offered a 10% discount for not having our drinks refilled, not getting over half of our food, and absolutely no communication for an hour. The same discount given for just being law enforcement who someone in our party was anyway. There was no accountability from the server, who could have communicated with us before I received lettuce with whole chicken fingers on top trying to be passed off as a chopped salad, on top of everything else. The bathroom was also really dirty with no paper towels in any of the dispensers.

After a near deafening and awful experience at a bar nearby we desperately needed to gain our hearing back and save our night with better service, drinks and service. We found that at Bar Louie on Saturday, I was shocked to walk into such a beautiful yet empty spot. The bar was beautiful, clean and noise level actually manageable. I knew this was our spot. As we found a seat at the bar others started to trickle in. We were greeted quickly and given some menus to look over. The beer on tap was quite large and I loved the cocktail options. There were two bartenders so we didn’t have to wait long when we needed a new drink etc. the staff was friendly and efficient. The furniture didn’t look cheap, seats cozy and if you wanted to sit at a table to eat they were great size. Did I mention they have a second room with another bar and beer on tap. It was not being used Saturday, but in busy days they definitely have the room. There is also outside seating. We did not try any food this go round, but it looked like they had some tasty options. My review is solely based on the bar area. I loved the lonestar strawberry lemonade as well as the lemon drop. Beer was cold and good. Prices are what you expect from west gate especially with cocktails. We’ll definitely be back. From start to finish we enjoyed our experience.

Went to Bar Louie Wednesday night and Bartender was extremely rude, walked up to 6 empty seats at the bar and sat down bartender quickly walks over and says I can’t sit there because seats were being saved, I’ve been to this bar a few times and it has never had reserved seating she was just being spiteful because I watch new customers come in from outside and sit at the same spots. I was happy when I walked in but the bartender quickly killed that vibe. Upset I decided to speak with the manager hoping for situation to be resolved or to be offered another seat but that didn’t happen. He did confirm it shouldn’t have happened and gave me the I’ll talk to them speech. Will not be going back Bar Louie, bar smelled like it needed a good cleaning anyways.

Came here for lunch and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but when I saw the “scratch kitchen” stated on their building, I wanted to give it a try.
I ended up getting the chicken & avocado wrap with fries with a non-alcoholic drink and my husband got a burger and added bacon and an egg, with tater tots and a beer.
The wrap was absolutely delicious! It tasted fresh and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Every ingredient worked really well together. The only complaint was that the fries were too salty and should have been cooked a little longer, but i wasn’t too concerned about the fries.
My husband enjoyed his burger as well, especially with the addition of the egg and bacon. The tator tots were cooked too long, so it was really crunchy.
The service was really good – we sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive.
We will definitely come back, especially on Tuesday since it’s 50% off their burgers!
