From our Chicago roots, we’ve always known that having a comfortable place to hang out, get great drinks, scratch food, awesome music, and the best service was something special. We create every Bar Louie with all of that in mind. It might not seem like an easy task, but we want to make sure you have a great time, any time you decide to come in. We could make it easier on ourselves, but we live for the quality and uniqueness of what we create. From our handcrafted everything bar, to our scratch everything kitchen, it’s in our DNA to be the best.

This place is clearly all about money and getting tips from dine-in customers. I loved this place, but my very first online order and I get this slop thrown in a bag. Lack of hot honey on a HOT HONEY CHICKEN SANDWICH. Got the smallest amount of tots you could get. Overall, I can say I won’t be back. I can’t respect a restaurant that can’t treat all customers the same.

My friend and I came out tonight because we were craving truffle fries. We ordered a few cocktails to start (pictured) and split the steak frites. After dinner, I wanted a red sangria. The drink prices are not listed on the menu, so I asked for the price of the sangria. Our waitress checked her pad and told us they were $4.79 each. I asked about a pitcher price as well. We decided on glasses of sangria because they were so cheap. When the bill came, I was charged $30 for two sangrias. I asked the waitress, and she said, “Oh, I meant $14.79.” We asked if she could change the price to what she quoted us, and she said she needed to ask her manager. After a bit of back and forth, she came back and told us her manage wouldn’t change the price. It was a $20 difference. We asked to speak to him. He came to our table and was extremely rude. We explained the situation, and his response was, “All our cocktails are $14.79, I’m not sure why you’d think this one was so much cheaper.” Again, their drink prices aren’t listed on the menu and we asked before we ordered. He kept saying he wouldn’t change the price and that he’d asked his waitress (and she’d said she told us the correct price). When we asked if he’d do the right thing and honor the quoted price since we wouldn’t have ordered multiple sangrias had we known the real price, he rudely stated he wouldn’t. Eventually he took one of the drinks off our bill after expressing our frustration with their lack of hospitality, but he was extremely rude about it. His name is Dom. Our waitress was nice and apologized profusely. We told her we didn’t blame her as accidents happen. The manager, Dom, was extremely unprofessional and rude to us.

The sandwich was amazing. Service was good . The restaurant was 3/4 full but it didn’t feel that way . It was 6 people in my group and a lot of families were there along with young children. The mimosa was also very good didn’t taste like cheap champagne was used.

Food was delicious. Our waitress took more than 10 minutes and never looked our way. Finally another very kind gal greeted us, took our beverage/food and followed up with us. Thankful for her! It was loud but a fun place. Delicious Reuben and tater tots!

What a great place to eat and an awesome atmosphere with televisions all around the bar area making it great for the open floor plan so that everyone could watch sports. Food was great we loved the truffle fries hands down my favorite.
Burgers were great and I got the salmon and shrimp dish that was delicious.
Kid friendly and kids menus too.
Definitely will be going back.

French fries are taken up a notch to amazing. Every thing we ordered was delicious! We would love to have the recipes. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended. Service was also superb and fast.

I’ve come to bar Louie numerous times, and Everytime I come I’m never disappointed. The food is always on point, the ladies at the bar are always so friendly and welcoming. It feels safe since security is always around. I come here all the time, whether alone or with friends. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good night.

Just experienced another example of poor customer service at a local favorite spot. Went to have a night cap with my wife and walked in at 1:02am and was informed by Barney Fife at the door that they don’t seat after 1:00am when they close at 2:00. Read the room, as you just cost Bar Louie a lot of future business with a policy that makes zero sense!

The servers are always friendly and the food is usually decent too. We got the steak frites and they are tender and juicy but they come overdone most of the times we are here.
