Great local Barbecue restaurant. Excellent service. The spicy sauce was very good. Stew was excellent. Pork is chopped. I usually do not like chopped/pre-sauced pork but theirs was excellent. Silver Comet cyclist friendly. We will be back!

Bar L has that hometown feel to it. The people there are friendly and warm. The food is delicious. Everything I have ever ordered has always been delicious, even their toss salads are the best!

Fried green tomatoes are good.
I’ve had the pulled pork sandwich and the beef BBQ sandwich, both are good.
Wife had the grilled chicken sandwich and she said it was delicious.
This place has the best prices on food anywhere in the area. Always a good stable place to eat.

Friendly service, food was on point for the money. We ordered Philly cheesesteaks. The meat was tastey and the sandwich was well prepared. Portions were great. Fried pickles were the best I’ve had in a while. This is a country BBQ place. I will be back.

My wife grew up in this town, knows most of the workers. We always get great service.
We come here for the philly and fried green tomatoes. Philly is always cheesy and filled with onions and peppers, bread is always toasted. Tried the spicy fries, and they were very good. Crispy and seasoned.
Kenzie is a great waitress. She served us this visit. Very friendly, helpful, and overall great spirit.

Best burger around. Always friendly and food comes out fast. Only 2 complaints are the limited hours they are open and there is only the one location! I recommend the double Gus burger! Follow them on Facebook to see the weekly specials! Can’t recommend them enough.

I’ve been eating here for over 30 years since they were at the end of Prospect Rd in the old white house. The food has always been great tasting but in recent years the price keeps going up and quantity down. You will not get a bad plate of food here. So many good things to eat here that it is hard to make my mind up on what I want on most visits.

Everybody was polite the only issue I had was the food. Got me and hubby a BBQ plate and it didn’t taste good at all. Most BBQ taste good but this one was not, also it was grounded up too fine The fried green tomatoes were very salty but the Cole slaw and toast was really good

Update: I just returned after a while of not and the prices changed again and are now reasonable. I give them 5 stars now!.
I have always loved this place but they recently changed the menu and you now have to order everything separately. They have always had pretty good prices until the menu change. Now that everything is a la carte you pay separately for everything, the price of items has more than doubled.
