Bar Kosho was highly recommended. It did not disappoint. The food was awesome. Service was exceptional. Great vibes.
Unfortunately I forgot to get photos of dessert. We had an order of Tuna Tataki followed by French Toast with grilled pineapple and whip cream.

Bar Kosho was such a pleasant surprise! We absolutely loved the tofu banh mi—it was fresh, flavorful, and made with local Heiwa tofu, which really made a difference. Our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the great vibe. The location is perfect for a cozy meal in Bridgton. Definitely a spot we’ll be returning to!

If I could give 0 stars I would. We came here last year on Valentine’s Day and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. This year we drove four hours for our 8 PM reservation expecting the same.We tried to be helpful since we noticed it was busy, so ordered everything at once. An hour passed before we received our first app, and after more than two hours, we still NEVER got our entrees or rest of our apps.
While waiting, we started talking to another kind couple nearby and found out the restaurant had changed ownership. And this was clear based on the new standards , but the difference in how things are run was obvious. I grew up working in restaurants in this area, and I understand how busy holidays can be. But this was beyond that. This is not how a restaurant should operate, and it was clear the new owners simply do not know how to run one.
The saddest part was that no one apologized or even acknowledged the situation. This was my first Valentine’s Day not working in a restaurant, and I was so excited to finally be on the other side of the table. Instead, a night that was supposed to be special was completely ruined. I would never recommend coming here, especially considering the owner even left while we were still waiting for food. Beyond that the food was so awful like please just don’t go here.

Delicious food, great service, and really cool flavors. The cocktail with wasabi was so good—super unique and surprisingly smooth. Loved how creative everything was. Definitely coming back when we’re in Maine again. Thank you for letting us stay till close!

Delicious food. We spent $120 (with tip) and it included 2 cocktails ($13/each), 1 hard seltzer ($7-8ish), spicy pork fries ($13 + $5 for the pork), 6 dumplings ($14), and bao buns (comes with 3 for $21 but they can up charge you $7 so you have 4). The hard seltzer they offered was okay. I’ve definitely had better. My boyfriend thought his mule drink was delicious. The food was delicious and flavorful. The fries were just the right amount of spicy. We went home with 2 bao buns and fries so it was plenty of food. Would definitely eat there again and recommend giving them a try.

A Hidden Gem Just Minutes Away! I’ve always had my eye on Bar Kosho since it’s only 4 minutes from home — and I’m so glad I finally got to try it. It completely exceeded my expectations! The interior is absolutely exquisite — every detail feels intentional and well thought out, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. But let’s talk about the food — it’s not your typical fare. Each dish has its own unique twist, crafted with creativity and bold flavor. To top it all off, the owners are incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. You really feel welcomed and taken care of. Without a doubt, I’ll be coming back regularly. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something special and unforgettable!

New menu and all, so here’s a new review. Again, incredible. So so happy to have Kosho just around the corner. The Chinese Chicken Fingers were verrry unique and delicious. Also highly enjoyed a seaweed salad, cooked sushi rolls, the Crab Rangoon nest! One of the best seaweed salads Iv had in a while & the Rangoon nest was uniquely plated & insanely delicious! Mocktail of Ginger beer, lime & bitters sounded simple but reallly was tasty and hit the spot. Other people got regular cocktails, Iv had before, 10/10 as usual! The atmosphere has been refreshed, refined and xtra gorgeous interior design. I loved the og Kosho but their new menu and energy is something to try asap.

Beyond impressed, this stylish eatery was a great departure from the norm, and a great way to celebrate a special occasion. Some of the offerings were not available, but that’s what one must accept, when the ingredients are presented with perfection in mind. From the first taste the the final dessert, the flavors and textures of each dish were a sensational delight. The staff were attentive not intrusive, and the cocktails were absolutely refreshing! Make your way to Bar Kosho!

My boyfriend and I came for Valentine’s Day. It was a very busy night and things were behind. The hostess was very upfront that they were running behind which we did not mind at all. We were early for our reservation and got seated before the reservation time that we had scheduled which was great. We got delicious drinks (the valentines specials were so good). We placed our food orders along with our drinks. We had to wait a while for our food but the bar staff as well as the servers were very apologetic even with all the craziness they were dealing with. Our appetizers were very good and our entrees even better!! Next time we are in town we will definitely be back!

Read great reviews, decided to try it out.
Very disappointed, unfortunately. Our ramen was cold, not even steaming! Lacked flavor, was just fresh herbs in like warm water not even close to authentic ramen.
Service was poor, took ever to get helped.
Please do not waste your money here. We had tried other places since and have gotten actual hot food for better value and price.

I will save others the trouble by posting this. Not authentic Japanese place at all. Don’t waste your time if you want an authentic experience and comforting flavorful warm food. You will be served cold ramen and delayed service and over pay.
