First visit and will definitely be back!! We shared the striped bass (very good, but the star was actually the superb veggies on the side), the paccheri (LOVED this dish-so rich and decadent), and, without exaggeration, one of the best pieces of Tiramisu I’ve ever had!
While not vegan, I was impressed with the amount of Vegan options on the menu. And the Negroni/spritz happy hour prices were amazing!

My boyfriend and I dined in on Saturday night and were seated in a high-top right away. We had Maddie as a server and she was great. I had the catching spears cocktail which tasted a little like cherry cough syrup. As for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed both of our meals. I had the cacio e Pepe which was so rich and creamy. He ordered the bolognese which he rated an 8/10. The portions were perfect. We got the cannoli and strawberry sorbet. Highly recommend both. The lighting and ambiance were also really nice.

We came here at the end of November for our anniversary and the food was amazing (as always!) although, we had to mention it was our anniversary which was kinda disappointing since we called beforehand to make sure it was put on our reservation. We also had our gifts and flowers for one another on the table which made it kinda obvious we were celebrating something but nobody ever asked or congratulated us until we said something at the end. Regardless, every other time we have come here it has been great & we will be back!

We got the antipasti board, eggplant fritters, ravioli, and chicken parm sandwich from the lunch menu. Everything was great. Cozy atmosphere with cool decor. Our server, Maddie, was excellent. We had another person who came out to give us a tour of the antipasti board who was also great. Looking forward to trying some new items next time!

Another wonderful experience at BC. We love going for brunch, as they make an incredible tofu scramble with a delicious sun-dried tomato and mushroom gravy, accompanied by crispy fingerling potatoes and that incredible kale salad. If I could buy the gravy by the gallon, I 100% would. It’s that good!

We read such good reviews that we had high hopes, but sadly they were diminished not long after we arrived. We sat at the cocktail table area and were told by the hostess that our server would be right over. No. It took almost 15 minutes with no service, for us to ask the host hostess where our server was. When the server finally came over, she didn’t even apologize for the wait and to be honest seemed annoyed. It seriously probably took another 10 minutes just to get a glass of wine and a beer. Meanwhile, I saw some people walk up to the bar area and they already had an appetizer before we barely got our drinks. We finally got the fritters we ordered for an appetizer and they were disappointing. No flavor at all and way too heavy. They should’ve been lighter. They were more like an arancini. Both mine and my husband’s dishes (when they finally arrived) were less than ideal too. The shrimp scampi had way too much going on, that it overwhelmed what should’ve been a really simple dish. Everything I read online about shrimp scampi (it has very few ingredients). The one my husband had, they overkilled it, with unnecessary additions. So much so, you couldn’t really tell what flavors you were getting and yet it’s still lacked something. My rigatoni Bolognese was decent however, the pasta was way too al dente. It could’ve easily been cooked another minute or two. I honestly think I make better Italian food at home and I’m not even Italian. I don’t think the chef knows what garlic or salt is. Other than the hostesses, the service was absolutely terrible. We just happened to be up in Madison for the day, but I don’t ever plan on going again. Complete waste of time and money. I don’t know where they get all the good reviews. Probably from people that have never been outside of Wisconsin, or have no taste buds. Disappointed is an understatement.

Fantastic experience for dinner! Sat at the bar, as we didn’t have a reservation. The food was top notch and the drinks were wonderful.
But the staff truly made the difference. They were super engaged despite being super busy. They answered our questions, joked around with us and really made us feel welcomed.
Cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back.

We made reservations for a large group and were seated right away. We tried three different appetizers including the dates, crostone, and ciabatta. We enjoyed them all, especially the dates. Our group ordered a variety of pasta dishes and they were quite good. I would add that the tagliatelle was a little more al dente than what I’m used to and I didn’t care for the way the prosciutto was prepared but that was just me. They have unique cocktails which I heard were tasty. Our server did a great jot handling a large group. I will add though they didn’t quite know the drink menu that well and couldn’t make drink recommendations. It was a very busy night so service was pretty slow. However, overall a good experience.

Couldn’t be happier with our dining experience! Apps were tasty, pasta was amazing, cannoli sealed the deal. We will have to go back and try all the delicious options, especially the pizza!!
