My fiancé, my dog and I sat on the beautiful outdoor patio! Our server was great. They brought our dog a water bowl. We were there for happy hour which is a great deal! Got a few $1 oysters and the orange mignonette they served with it was delicious (and I’m usually a mignonette hater). They let me get the deviled eggs that usually just come with the seafood tower and omg they were amazing. I got the ahi tuna nachos and the ahi tuna was great but didn’t love the rest of the components together ($2 off during HH). I was hoping for some more heat. Wish I had tried the lobster Mac or lobster rolls on special; they looked amazing but wanted something light. My fiancé got the Chesapeake shrimp toast and it was good but heavy and oily. He also got the shrimp po boy and he loved that. For drinks, I got the draft orange crush which was refreshing ($8 on HH). My fiancé got the beer and shot combo which was a good deal! Overall great experience and will be coming back.

I’m a big fan of Britney especially Metzger and we were really looking forward to trying the new restaurant. I have to say I was a little underwhelmed. Nothing was bad but nothing blew my mind away. I think they’re still trying to work on the menu. I gave them a B and my partner gave them a B+.

Barber is the perfect new restaurant for Richmond! The food is delicious. The interior is so cute and the drinks are delicious. I got their spin on a dirty martini, which was delicious, we got succotash dip as a starter, and it was delicious. I had the oyster Poboy, which was the best in Richmond! The service was friendly, I will definitely be going back.

I went in with high expectations and was still blown away. We shared several dishes, and the cod stood out with its perfect crispiness. I ordered the Salisbury steak as a bit of a joke—since I hadn’t had one since middle school—but it turned out to be incredible, especially paired with the mashed potatoes. The onion rings that came with it were some of the best I’ve ever had.

Surprisingly though, the highlight of the entire meal was the biscuit appetizer. They were so good we wished we had ordered more—trust me, you’ll want more than one order!

Bar Buoy delivers the expected Brittanny Anderson excellence. The atmosphere is classic Chesapeake Bay, with a shiplap wall, pale teals and clean white, fishing nets, a wall of seafood-themed dry goods, and shells. Our check came in the cutest presentation block I’ve ever seen. Service was friendly, quick, and competent. Food and bevs were excellent! We started with a dozen raw oysters split between Ruby Salts and Birthday Girls, flawlessly shucked, with a gorgeous pomegranate? mignonette that may be my all-time favorite. I had the Big Choppa salad with grilled shrimp, which I thought was inventive and delicious. My mom had the crab cake sandwich, which was served with more fries than we could eat in two days, but she destroyed every bite of the sandwich. My husband and daughter shared the steamer basket, really sized and priced for one, so don’t take this as a recommendation to share, but they wanted dessert and were not terribly hungry after a late lunch. My daughter’s first time having mussels, and you’d have to fight her for them. My mom was super excited to try the Smith Island Cake she’d seen on TV and it did not disappoint! Really appreciate all the thoughtful touches like a garment rack in the hall for coats, bathroom stocked with tampons and flossers, even the sweet striped curtains delivered on the intended vibe. Beautiful job!

We ate here last night for the first time and really enjoyed ourselves! We opted to share some appetizers instead of ordering main courses and I feel like that was the right move. We got oysters, succotash dip, ahi tuna skewers, and the ham biscuits. Highly recommend them all! The cocktails were delicious as well. Our server, Grant, was friendly and attentive and really made our experience perfect! We will be back for sure.

This restaurant won’t be for everyone. The food was superb and the waitstaff, attentive. My husband and a friend ate some oysters, which they liked, but then they had an oyster pie. (My husband says it was the highlight of his evening.) We split dinners from there—the Rockfish, and the caviar stuffed potato skins. My favorite was the “seasonal drink”—frozen eggnog. It was yummy. My knock is for the volume. By 7:00pm, I couldn’t hear my husband sitting next to me! It’s worth going for the food, but it would be nicer with some sound dampening.

We had an awesome time! Food was delicious. The seafood tower was well worth it and a ton of fun! I had no idea how good pickled mussels would be.

Very fun atmosphere
