Very good brunch. Definitely had leftovers too. Pancakes super thick. Pastrami was amazing. Thick and tall breakfast sandwiches. Huge chunks of meat in the Texas Chili. Burger decent but really good fries. Dessert anyone? Go for ice cream sandwich or the chocolate cake. Fig crepes okay, but not our favorite out of what we ate.
Wait staff was numerous and kept waters filled without asking and regular changing of plates and utensils.
Music a smidgen too loud to hear conversation across the table.
We had reservations for 11:30 Sunday but plenty of seating still available.

So we have been here a few times but it’s my first review. Service is lovely. Inside is so loud that we enjoy sitting outside instead. The steaks are amazing. My husband goes the steak route. I always try something different and this time I was a bit disappointed. The gnocchi was so mushy and the lobster was rubbery. But honestly. The steak is where it is at and I’d happily go back.

Bludorn set the bar very high for Houston dining, Michelin recognition, flawless execution, warm hospitality, and food that earns every dollar. Bar Bludorn, unfortunately, is not there yet… and that contrast is impossible to ignore.
Let’s start with the good: the food is delicious. An honest 8/10. You can absolutely get a fantastic filet mignon here, arguably one of the best in the city. The kitchen knows what it’s doing, no question.
Now the problem: the service.
For a restaurant charging Bludorn-level prices, the hospitality was shockingly absent. Our server seemed completely disengaged, as if we were an inconvenience rather than guests. There was no warmth, no attention, no sense that anyone cared whether we were enjoying ourselves, or even planned to come back. It felt transactional at best, indifferent at worst.
Bar Bludorn positions itself as a polished, elevated dining experience, but the service told a very different story. When the hospitality misses this hard, it overshadows even good food. And in Houston, where you can get incredible steaks, thoughtful service, and better value all over the city, there’s simply no reason to settle.
Bludorn remains exceptional. Bar Bludorn, at least for now, feels like a concept still finding its footing while charging full price for the destination it wants to be. Until the service catches up to the ambition, we won’t be returning.

Went here for the first time and the atmosphere was amazing and I actually want to remodel my home like this place. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. There are other bludorn restaurants that are as good as this place. If you’re looking for a great place for a date night or a special occasion, this is definitely the place you need to check out.

Had dinner here and everything was just awesome. The food was seriously good — you can tell it’s made with care. Drinks were great too. But honestly, Alex made the night. Super friendly, funny, and just on top of everything without hovering. We left full and happy. Definitely coming back.

Great food in a great setting. Service was very friendly and attentive. The patio is not the most romantic (need to add some greenery to separate us better from the cars) but the food was awesome. The steak tartare with its little roesti disks was out of this world, one of the best we had in Houston. Burger was excellent, too and my partner’s steak fantastic too. We will be back, wonderful new little gem.

I was so excited to try since its close to our house, and we didn’t want to go far. I thought it gonna be good since its the sister restaurant w the other Blue…but honestly we were less than impressed.
We ordered the yellow fintuna, and thats the only dish I feel was good. The fritto misto w shrimp & calamari didn’t have much taste, batter was blah & shrimp I couldn’t even tell if it shrimp! So sorry chef!
I had the spaghetti cabonara and it was ok, nothing wow, and the green sprout (green decorative on top) was distracting. My husband ordered the steak frites w fried, steak came dry, too cooked and too salty. Fries didn’t even have and taste. We feel like for a8oz $48 hanger steak, it would be much better. We didn’t feel it so didn’t order the dessert. My chery blossom drink was good.
Maybe another try in 6 months to give restaurant time to adjust…

Impeccable service. Started at the bar with happy hour martini and baked oysters. It was delicious and a good price. I ordered the radicchio salad which was delicious but a little overdressed. My friends ordered the duck gumbo and artichoke ravioli which were both really good. I ordered the fried chicken which was the highlight of my meal (sorry forgot to take a picture). The dessert of The Martellus which was devine! Overall the service was great. Loved speaking with David the manager. He was very knowledgeable about the wine menu. I noticed the service staff was lined up in front of the kitchen and noticed anything that needed to be taken care of. I will definitely return!

A recently opened, bustling tavern in the Memorial neighborhood. Nice ambience, with a tavern style bar.
Food is good. Enjoyed it green pea hummus (with a touch of spice); preferred its endive salad to gem lettuce salad, and the steak frites was perfectly cooked. The fried chicken is a mixed basket, the dark meat was juicy, while the breast pieces were on the dry end. Dessert was also good.
Bustling on a Monday evening, service was slow and needs reminder. We were not served bread, and wines by the glass took over 15 min to be served.
Diner tips: When booking, ask for booth seats for more comfort. Some quite wobbling seats in the center tables due to uneven flooring.
When ordering, asked for dishes to be served separately, else everything would come together. We had to eat the fried chicken before the two salads for example.
Valet parking (complimentary) at the door is pretty much the only parking option.

We went for a Sunday brunch, and I am pretty shocked the place wasn’t packed. The service from the floor manager to each of the wait staff tending to us was amazing. More importantly, each course and drink we got was not only amazing tasting, but unique in taste and crafted so well in presentation. It is the exact type of place you go to for that special day out. The price, while expensive, felt right on for the amount of attention to details that are spent on everything from the ambiance to the food.
