This is the exact restaurant I’ve been waiting for on route 3 in Rocky Hill. I stopped in after a long day/evening at the office, and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered 4 authentic soft tacos, only $3 each. They were scrumptious. Great home made hot sauce, maybe the best I’ve had. I appreciate that they have crunchy or soft shells, flour or corn. Also they have ground beef and it’s spiced to perfection. Many great menu options that are much more elegant dinner type but I got their late and wanted something simple. I think any Mexican and Mexican American items are available. Awesome full bar and televisions for the games you’re looking for. Definitely a great addition to the West Side Plaza. I went back 2 days later, I was so impressed the first time. 3 new pics.

Came on a Saturday night for dinner. We were quickly seated. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant provided a cozy atmosphere. My husband and I ordered taco with shrimps and beef quesadilla. The food was average, suitable for its casual vibe.

Bar Baja in Rocky Hill was a great stop for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Interior is clean and inviting. Service and staff were friendly. Asada tacos meat was a little dry but tasted good. Chorizo taco hit the spot. Al Pastor taco was by far the best of the 3. Only downside is the tacos themselves are pretty small, 2 bite tacos. But they taste really good.

Stopped here for first time for lunch and it was delicious. Had the short rib tacos (3) which was served with beans and rice. The server also made a good Manhattan. Ordered the wings with lime and salt seasoning but can’t share with you how they taste because they are for snacking during Thursday night football tomorrow.Very attractive bar.

The foods is alright. The pricing is ridiculous. How are you charging 5 dollars for a side of rice, and serve it in this small container. This is $2.50-3.50 at most. hard to find some authentic mexican food in Connecticut, new haven trucks is the closest to it, this is far from it.

Wednesday night, 7:30 PM… a few other customers. Waiter (Rob) was very good.. even unlocked the side door for us. Very good food – Bang Bang Shrimp taco for me – the shrimp was almost too big for the taco! The sauce/flavors were excellent. Happy hour nachos were just the right size for the two of us (and tasty). Margarita was very well done. We will be going back.
