We’re locally owned and operated and we cook and slice our barbeque right on the premises at our Owen Drive location. Southern hospitality and BBQ at it’s best. Everything was delicious and the BBQ was a little more on the sour side (North Carolina thing I suppose) The fried chicken was mint, potato salad, cold slaw and fried okra had a homemade taste. Really sucks I didn’t get to try the desserts. They didn’t have time to make it and I was leaving the next day. Fried pork chops were yummy and huge. All the good food was very affordable.

Went on a Thursday and got the Thursday special which are ribs. If you get the standard special it comes with ribs, macaroni and cheese, hush puppies, and collard greens. For the price it was a decent amount of food. In regard to the food, the ribs and mac and cheese could have had a tad bit more seasoning, the greens however, were seasoned perfectly. Taking into consideration that everyone makes their ribs differently, I am used to ribs that have been baked with a heavy glaze on, these ribs seem to be maybe parboiled and then barbecue sauce poured on afterwards. Again not bad but not what I’m accustomed. Will be going back again to try there Wednesday special which is the sirloin or hamburger steak, can’t wait to try that.

Best BBQ and chicken! Hands down best food around and the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Staff and owner are wonderful people who go above and beyond for the community! Definitely get you some banana pudding when you go as well!

Ok where do I even start here! I guess I’ll give you the background info. My daughter gave me two weeks to plan and execute a formal wedding, it was a fairly small wedding with 32 attendees. I was told to give BBQ Hit a call for food so I sent a catering inquiry in via their website. I received a phone call the next day, and within a few minutes I had the food situated with zero headache and it didn’t break the bank!! The food showed up on time, as promised. when it came time for everyone to eat there was more than enough, and everyone said the food was delicious! I am so grateful for them doing their part to make this day wonderful! I would highly recommend BBQ hut for any of your catering needs!

This is the best fried chicken in Cumberland County. I’m not a big fan of Eastern North Carolina BBQ so I’ll skip that. My only disappointment is that the coleslaw comes from a truck and isn’t hand made. That’s a shame because coleslaw is easy to make.

It all depends on what you want ! Their barbecue is the bomb. The fried chicken could have come out of the grease a little bit sooner if you ask me. And the wing, I think it was just a fried bone . I wish I could find some good wings

I came in today really down. I had on a durag, plain white shirt, and sunglasses. I ordered my meal and came back to order a side coleslaw. I offered to pay, but they kindly refused and gave it to me. The three beautiful ladies working didn’t know this, but I recently lost my younger brother and I was having a particularly bad day dealing with my grief. I will never in my life forget the kindness you all showed today . This is southern hospitality and no mainstream business could never compare. Thank you ladies I actually smiled for once in a long time.

Last few visits chicken has been dry and greasy. If I go back it will only be for the bbq. Years ago was the best chicken in town.
