I know Texas is known for barbecue. But this is my favorite place to get barbecue. I live in San Antonio and we have one here, but it’s nowhere near as good as the location here in Mcallan. I always get chopped brisket. It’s always pretty lean not much fat at all. Absolutely delicious. Love the sides and the atmosphere is just light and airy. Plenty of seating in typical barbecue style and fashion. Every time I come into the city, I have to eat here once before I leave at least absolutely love. It loved it before I moved away from there. And still eat it now that I live in San Antonio, they did open one here. But lord nowhere near as good.

At one point this was one of our favorites spots!! Service is still amazing/friendly but something about the quality of the food has had a huge drop off!

Let’s Go
Today we tried the wings (lemon pepper) and the carne guisada(brisket). Both were amazing!!! Complimented with the corn on the cob and coleslaw-WOW-fantastic!! The tea is brewed and it makes a world of difference in its excellent freshness and taste. The employees are friendly that when you enter you get a “hello or welcome” and upon leaving you get a “thank you”!

I had extremely high hopes for this place based on a recommendation, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The meats felt overpriced for the portions they served, and the turkey was incredibly dry. Their original BBQ sauces were either too sweet or tasted like straight-up ketchup. On top of that, the person who took my order was rude and seemed annoyed when I asked questions about the menu. Honestly, if you’re looking for a quick BBQ spot, you’re better off going elsewhere.

The moist brisket here is delicious I would definitely recommend it, I really like all the sauces they have including their green salsa.
The burgers they serve are very good, I tried their fajita tacos they are pretty good but overall a bit pricey for the combo.
I wouldn’t recommend the pork ribs as previous experiences have shown that the ribs aren’t as good as their brisket. I plan to try their Dino beef ribs and give those a try.

Tried the brisket smash burger . Overall the burger was very good , although the bacon that came with it was a little tough. The burger and the drink was a little over $14. Overall, I liked the burger, but I don’t think it was worth the 14 bucks.

We dined in for lunch. The restaurant was nice and clean. I just moved to the area and this was one of the closest spots to me. The sauces were on point, the meats were nice and tender. I got ribs with Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy. The Mac n cheese was too watery, for my liking. Otherwise it was ok, nothing too major.

Loved the brisket sandwich. I also really enjoy the smoked baked potato. As far as sides are concerned, the potato salad is really good. It has a nice creamy texture to it. It’s hard to go wrong with anything you order here.

We picked up takeout, bbq chicken with some sides. We also ordered a brisket stuffed jalapeño which was one of the first to have the bacon fully cooked.
