The service and atmosphere were great, but the ramen just wasn’t very good. The chicken karaage portion was much smaller than what I’ve had at other restaurants, and both the karaage and the ramen came out warm instead of hot, which was a bit concerning. They were also out of green onions, which happens, but it didn’t help the experience. The place is definitely aesthetic, but the recipes and overall food quality could use some improvement.

The customer service was great. I loved the atmosphere with the anime playing on the TV and the general feel of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t very good. I built my own with pork broth, chashu pork, miso flavor, mushrooms, and green onion. While this is my first time having ramen the things I noticed were that the mushrooms were still frozen on the inside, the pork lacked flavor and felt very dry (not just “not juicy” but actually like jerky). My husband got the miso ramen and cringed when he tasted his and he’s not super picky. He immediately noted that the broth was flavorless and only ate a few bites of his food. We ended up getting food somewhere else after. It was disappointing because we spent $30 here:(

I agree with others that say this place has a lot of potential. The workers were very nice and the atmosphere was fun. My recommendation is that they make sure the food comes out hot. Work on adding flavor to the broth because that seems to be a common complaint.

Don’t listen to MIMI, this place makes the mark and has improved. I got the spicy tonkotsu pork cutlets and it was pretty flippin yummy. A big warm and spicy bowl of soulful food, Wait is longer than you expect but the food is WORTH IT. This was even with a new hire present as well ❤️❤️❤️. The soup may have been low on broth but just check with them before you take it. I was still leaving that place happy and content with my purchase.

We dined in and had the Shio bowl. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. The chicken tasted very good but the noodles were not what we were expecting. First time having ramen like this so maybe we’re just not ramen people.

My husband and I came in for a late lunch. I was hesitant because of the other reviews and because I’ve never had ramen before. However, as soon as we got inside, we were greeted by the manager who answered all my questions. The food is a decent price and made to order, so you know it’s fresh. I recommend the katsu pork! We will definitely be back again!

Absolutely amazing ramen! Banzai Ramen in Rexburg is hands down one of the best places to eat in town. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and the toppings are always fresh. You can tell everything is made with care. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is cozy — perfect for a casual dinner or a warm meal on a cold Idaho day.
My personal favorite is the spicy miso ramen, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality is top-notch. If you’re in Rexburg and craving authentic, comforting ramen, Banzai Ramen is a must-try!

Absolutely delicious. Authentic Japanese ramen bowls. Try the Miso bowl with medium spice; you won’t regret it

For starters it was really cold in the restaurant. The food is unbelievably bad, I just wanted some good food and asked what their most popular dish was, they recommended the miso bowl. I got it and man the .10 cent Walmart ramen is better than this place. When I got my food, it didn’t taste great but I had already paid 15 bucks for it so I didn’t want to waste it, I ate the whole bowl and I felt like crap after. I’ve never felt this feeling before. I would prefer hunger to this feeling. Don’t order the soup, ramen whatever it was. I’m sure other dishes are better but man it was lousy.

I am not exaggerating, this is the worst noodle I have ever eaten for the past 33years. You should trust an Asian’s judgement on ramen. Noodles are covered with starches and taste like mucus. Cutlet tastes like wood chips. I think they are using frozen ramen kits and don’t even know how to cook it right. You should pay for my emotional damage…….

Does the owner even know what Banzai mean? You literally are Banzaing your customers.

I don’t know if it just depends on the cook that day but our food was just not as good as I was hoping. I had really been craving ramen and the place is so cute. Hoping to come back and give it another try. The dishes had also stacked up super high and it wasn’t the cleanest when we came in.
