Reviews
The menu is a dream for anyone craving genuine Indian street flavors. I tried the Vada Pav, and it was perfectly authentic with its soft, fluffy pav buns and the most aromatic garlic chutney – just like I remember from Mumbai! The Pani Puri and Sev Puri were also incredibly fresh, bursting with unique and spicy flavors that hit all the right notes. Every dish I sampled, from the Samosas to the Pav Bhaji, showcased true Mumbai-style flavors, steering clear of the typical sweetish undertones found in some other regional cuisines.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall fantastic experience. Their passion for authentic street food shines through in every interaction. It’s also a huge plus that the entire menu is vegetarian, offering a wide array of delicious options. With plenty of free parking available, visiting Bansuri is convenient and hassle-free. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Mumbai’s street food culture, Bansuri Indian Street Food is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of their delicious offerings!
The wait time is about 15-20 minutes after you’ve placed the order. Would definetly recommend this place for authentic street style food.
I paid $8.99 for the portion that was a side portion for the main dish. Trust me peas and potatoes are not that expensive. I ordered ragda pattice. Ragda was tasteless and patties were the side of flattened donut holes.
on top there was a drizzle of sweet chutney and sprinkle of sev. What a mockery!
I would’ve paid couple bucks more and gotten a whole platter of chicken over rice and a full size appetizer from a restaurant.
I got on google to read the reviews and oh my my! Only if the portion size were as large as the owner’s response to some of these negative reviews. Not to forget it tasted like eating boiled peas with salt and turmeric. Lesson learned. I shall not be ordering from this place and I will NOT recommend this place.
Spice levels are still the same.
If you want to enjoy it, choose mild.
You want to struggle with your tongue on fire, choose medium.
You want to lose your head, order spicy.
Update 01/09: I am updating this after owner put reply on my review. I’m not a dump person who doesn’t know sales tax. lol This sales tax part is what he made as story to reply. I came here second time. That’s it. First time I didn’t write since I thought they are senior citizens let me ignore their behavior. She is good some what. He is very bad guy. Owner attitude is one of the worst ever you could imagine. Please don’t go here if you respect yourself. The quality is one of the worst in Houston. Again, if you self respect yourself this is not the place to go and eat. Highly unprofessional and not recommended at all.
PS: He tried to reach me out over phone and asked to remove google review. I am NOT going to remove it. Thanks
