The food was great!! I will say, heed their warnings! When they say the Thai hot is going to be too hot for you listen to them!! I regularly eat spicy food, the spicier the better! When I ordered it Thai hot I was warned multiple times by the lady at the cash register then by the chef. I should’ve listened. While the food tasted excellent I was only able to eat a little bit because of how hot it was. I shared some with my father in law, who eats whole peppers with almost every meal and it was to much for him as well. Excellent food and excellent service!

Excellently freshly made Thai food. The yellow curry with pineapple was delicious. I took the advice of the chef and chose mild seasoning. It still had some kick and was fantastic! BannThai is an off-the-beaten path treasure. Go there soon!

I’ve been to a lot of Thai restaurants around Wichita and Kansas and the Panang Curry here is right up there with the best of them! Being kind of a pepper hound, I ordered it hot. The waitress warned me about it being pretty hot and even the chef came out to double-check with me. It turned out just the way I like it. I probably would not go with the Thai Hot, though. Will be back again!

The owner of this place is great! Thai Hot was not a let down, it’s SPICY! My mouth was burning for 10 minutes after I ate, some say it’s still burning til this day. Great little gem that I hope Wichita treats well so they can stick around for years to come!

This is a small local business. The best Thai food in Wichita!! I highly recommend the curries. Be cautious when ordering spicy, it could be the spiciest place in town. The owner is always friendly and happy to make your food.

I do believe I’ve found my new favorite West Side Thai food at Bann Thai in Maize. But first I want to recognize the woman who was working last night, she was manning the ship all by herself and did an awesome job hosting while taking orders and cooking for an entire restaurant of people
That being said this Pad Thai in Omlette had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy that I savored with every bite of its perfectly cooked composition, there is only one Pad Thai in the city that’s better imo and that says alot in a city full of menus with Pad Thai on them. Spring rolls were crispy and delicious. I will say, their heat chart is accurate, I did get the medium hot Basil Fried Rice and it was HOT Not to hot for me to enjoy but for most and especially heat intolerant people you may wanna go a level lower than your usual

I’m glad they laid down a culinary challenge because Bann Thai absolutely delivered and I highly recommend you give them a try next time your craving delicious authentic Thai cuisine

Amazing and delicious! I’ve been coming here for years and it’s the best pad Thai in all of Wichita and I will stand by that! Best pad Thai I’ve ever had! The owner is so sweet and so accommodating to all of her guests. This is truly a gem and I am so glad that it is Maize now.
The soup she offers at the beginning of the meal is also top tier (I didn’t get a photo) but it was outstanding.

Best Thai food around. The price cannot be beat, the food is phenomenal, loaded with flavor. Love that she has a chart to let you choose your level of spicy. If you haven’t eaten Thai food their spicy level is off the charts but u can also opt out. Good fresh food sometimes can take a bit longer than drive thru which she’s pretty good about letting you know your wait time as she is the only cook. Thankful you’re sharing your passion with us.
