Sooooo Good!!!! Everything was great… Service and Food. Impeccably Clean. BBQ is wonderful and all the Sauces were unique and excellent. The greens and roasted cabbage were my favorites. Great experience and we’ll be back soon.

We travel to TN each year and making sure to get to Banjos is a must (even though its 45 minutes from where we vacation). The owner is amazing and so are the servers. The food is incredible. Bathrooms, tables, and kitchen always appear very clean.

Husband says these are the best smoked wings he’s ever had! We were welcomed enthusiastically when we walked in. The decor is rustic and inviting. Our server was helpful and attentive. I ordered the smoked wings with apple butter sauce with one side. I chose sweet potato for my side; other choices were slaw, hot slaw, and baked beans. My husband chose the boomer potato with brisket. All of our food was delicious, and we took home leftovers. I now have a favorite restaurant in Dayton!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Banjo’s is a real gem. My husband and I absolutely love BBQ and have tried many, many places over the years and have many joints in our neighborhood. None of them compare to Banjo’s, and we drive all the way to Dayton from Soddy to get it.
Every dish is intentional and flavorful, all home recipes. The smoked wings are tasty and fall right off the bone, all the meats are smoked to perfection, mac n cheese is great (not Kraft), the stewed cabbage is delicious and savory and a little hot, and is great for your gut I dont mind saying. All the sauces are fantastic, esp the hot honey butter.
Now I can’t not mention the wonderful service. Stephanie and Jason have been standouts to us in their hospitality, and David, the owner, is a constant presence. He runs his business like a labor of love. He always chats with us, asks us how the food was, and has even surprised us with the occasional small bite. We learned on our last visit that he is Italian in heritage (you’d never guess it) and I suppose that explains the wonderful flavors. And dont let the exterior fool you! The interior has a warm ambiance, with the old fashioned wooden tables and chairs placed in a cozy and thoughtful way. It’s very nice.
I cannot reccommend Banjo’s more highly. If you’re coming from Chattanooga/Soddy Daisy area, it’s actually not a bad drive, and there’s so much to do in Old Dayton. Many great fishing spots,m and boat launches, a kid-geared nature walk, a huge dog park, an awesome, newly built playground and free splashpad. It’s actually a really great trip if you haven’t been, and one you will probably end up making frequently if you’re anything like us.

We had a great experience. The server was kind and attentive and the owner came over and gave us a free basket of wings to try before we ordered. They were great smoked ribs with tasty unique sauces like apple butter. We had the wood fired pizza and it was delicious. The owner came and visited and shared his story. It was a cool place and we will definitely be back!

We stopped in last night for dinner on our way home. It was about 45 mins before they closed. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The servers were all very friendly. Our food didn’t take too long to get out, it came out hot (except for Mac n cheese) so my daughter didn’t eat it. Hubby enjoyed his ribs, the pulled pork was so so. The loaded potato with pork was decent, could have been cooked a little longer. We tried the Apple butter bbq sauce and the traditional and omg the Apple butter was DELICIOUS! Overall good experience

Well we were passing through as we were traveling from Florida into Kentucky 27.
As it got closer to dinner, I used my Google app to find something along the way as I was pulling a long fifth wheel RV., Banjo BBQ was one of the places that caught my attention, mainly because of the name…. I love some good bluegrass music. #TidalwaveBluegrassBand, #InfamousStringDusters. Lol….
But let me tell you, even though there was no Bluegrass playing that day, I sure was not disappointed once I tasted the barbecue.
