If you’ve never had a bahn mi sandwich, you must try one ASAP!!! I have loved this place for years and I should have reviewed them sooner. Like all places, they have undergone “shrinkflation.” Still, you really can’t beat the price of $9.95 for something delicious you can’t really get anywhere else on the NW side of town. My husband wanted the beef and lemongrass. They don’t carry it anymore and it was explained that was due to beef prices. I really appreciate the principal of removing a menu item rather than charging even more in this economy. This place is known for having a phenomenal, quality product at reasonable prices and I want to thank them for sticking to that rather than sticking it to the customers. Loyal customer for life, as long as I can afford to keep eating out. Also look for their food truck. They were at a bar I was at one night, and the service was fantastic!

So, I’m Vietnamese. I have certain expectations when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine. I had high hopes when I ordered the bahn mi, as I have yet to find a really good vietnamese bahn mi in Tucson. Whereas, there are a few good places for bahn mi in Phoenix. I ordered the AZ Special and BBQ Pork. What can make or break a bahn mi is going to be the bread first. Unfortunately, it failed the bread test, as the bread (baguette) should be crunchy and not soggy. The bahn mi on top was toasty, but the bottom was way too soggy, so the bread (baguette) did not holdup, as it should in a bahn mi. The BBQ Pork or Thit Nuong needed a bit more flavor and the carrot/daikon pickling was good, but probably needed the juice drained more. I think the baguette bread needs to be improved, as it shouldn’t get soggy for a bahn mi. Now if you are ever in Phoenix, I would recommend Da Vang Restaurant or Lee’s Sandwiches.

So food is always delicious every time, however I’ve noticed depending on the staff (which I’m sure is pretty normal) the items vary on how they are prepared. Depending on who is there the day that I go in is how I’ll know my meal will be great. Sometimes I am okay with the food.
Pictured was from my last recent visit and you can tell the bread was different and it’s very toasted. Thai tea was great!

Still my favorite location and the Bahn Mi’s are great. Nice lemongrass chicken, beef and pork is always moist. The arizona special is delicious. The sandwich has generous amounts of carrots, daikon, cilantro and the perfect amount of jalepeno, if you like it.
Owner and staff are just lovely.
Atmosphere? This is a simple sandwich shop which meats my criteria- spotlessly clean.
Every location seems to have a specialty sandwich on some days. The location in the Catalina’s also has some interesting specials.
I do, however, miss the delicious meatball Bahn Mi…. It was my favorite!

Friendly people and awesome little shop. They are always looking at ways to make it better. Best banh mi in town and even better with different drink options. Love their sandwiches because it’s flavorful and tasty AF. I usually get the special, grilled pork and lemongrass. Even better if you add a fried egg or spam or hell go wild add both. Mind blown and taste bud will thank you. Keep it up guys! Here’s a few photo of my ventures there.

As someone that grew up in a city (East Side San Jose, CA) which has a very large Vietnamese community, my Vietnamese wife and I were very skeptical about how authentic the food here would be. We would like to tell everyone that the banh mi sandwiches here are legitimately authentic and super delicious. We purchased the breakfast and lemongrass beef banh mi sandwiches. Absolutely loved them and will definitely come back the next time we visit Tucson. My wife has actually named this place her favorite Tucson food spot so far. The cafe sua da was ok, but I really needed the caffeine boost this morning so I won’t criticize it too much. We understand that not everyone is familiar with banh mi sandwiches and it’s unique flavor profile, but we can reassure you that Banhdicted is a hella good food spot to eat at.

First impression; the staff were SO kind. Was wished a happy Mother’s Day as a staff member was standing in a truck unloading fresh produce. The sweet ladies at the register were also so kind and helpful. Helped me make a decision, I got lemongrass beef BUT they recommended doing the bbq sauce since I couldn’t decide between the bbq pork or lemongrass beef!
It was seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten. I’ve had a lot of banhmi living in San Francisco. Everything is so fresh. The beef was so tender and not a SINGLE chewy piece meat. I’m shocked the price point could be double and I’d still go here. The individual responsible for their recipe knows their craft impeccably, true intention with every single present ingredient. Highly recommend.

We went here because we wanted sandwiches and we got one of the best sandwiches we had ever had in our lives. It was the perfect mix of fresh and creamy and hot and cold. Even down to the jalepeño being the perfect amount of flavor without being too spicy. We will definitely be coming back!

This place is really good with great service! I got the tofu bahn mi with a coconut milk snow with lychee jelly and the drink was sooooooo great. The sandwich was really good amazing bread and pickled veggies but I wish the tofu was more crispy and seasoned it would be perfection

Banhdicted is one of the best restaurants here in Tucson. The sandwiches are phenomenal and super flavorful. I ordered the AZ Special and wow it did not disappoint. I live on the opposite side of town. But, I will make the drive to grab a bite to eat here. I also got a smoothie here and it was refreshing and delicious. They provided amazing customer service too! 100/10 definitely recommend.
