Grilled chicken Bahn Mi and the crispy spring rolls were delicious. Friendly staff in a small space but the food and service are great.

I tried the grilled beef rice noodle bowl, grilled beef banh mi and the spring rolls. Everything tasted delicious – would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for food that is filling yet not too heavy

Got the beef pho.
I love pho and would consider myself a critic on it because of how much I eat it.
It was overpriced, about $20 for a small bowl. The bowl was too small to mix anything properly in it. And the taste was not that good, some people say that the broth was good but I thought it was subpar, even kind of bad for pho.
The meat was okay, nothing special.
I wouldn’t recommend it for an avid pho enjoyer. I haven’t tried their sandwiches so maybe they are better.

Meat was nothing mind blowing, pretty standard for a pho (and I wish there were some other elements like tendon or tripe)—but the broth was where it was at 🙂 Really light yet rich beef flavor, and I will say for the medium bowl size, the meat to noodle ratio was really good. Noodle texture was just average and came a little clumpy, but overall – did it satisfy a lunch pho craving in the middle of a crazy Boston storm? Absolutely

Truly phenomenal Vietnamese food. The freshest ingredients. Beautiful flavors. Friendliest staff. The pho was the best we’ve had outside of Vietnam (spent a month there) and the Bahn Mi rivals any top sandwich in Boston (across all types). Definitely give this place a try. You’ll soon see it all over “Best Of” lists I have no doubt.

Banh Mi K is an incredible addition to the Allston food scene. WE NEED MORE BANH MI! It looks like a little diner inside, very cute.
The sandwiches are fantastic – crispy fluffy baguette with the perfect amount of meat and veggies. LOVE their sauce.
The grilled pork vermicelli was also super flavorful, and the drinks are really well done too. I’ll be back for pho and appetizers! Don’t miss out on this place!

We got the banh mi classic and the beef pho, both were great! The bread wasn’t super hard and the filling was delicious. The pho broth tasted amazing, tasted like a family recipe. The meat and noodles good as well.
I would definitely eat here again.

This review is ONLY for the sugar cane juice. I have not tried any of the food here yet. I was thrilled to see the sign, in front of the shop, pitching sugar cane juice. I grew up drinking fresh sugar cane juice in Hong Kong and Singapore and loved it. So, I was really excited to try it. As I watched the young woman start up the juicer, I saw that she took out a big wedge of pineapple and put it into the juicer, and then she put in the sugar cane stalk. So, it’s not 100% sugar cane juice. When I tried the juice, it tasted mostly of pineapple and, because of the sugar cane, it was very sweet but it did not have that natural sugar cane taste. I would not get it again.

Beef pho only review.
Having sampled pho hundreds of times all over north America my standards are high. Firstly… this is good pho.
But…
It’s the smallest bowl over and after a couple bucks tip we are talking $20. I think one of the downsides to Pho becoming trendy is that restaurants I think reduce their bowl sizes to cater to small women. I remember a time where a large bowl of pho was a meal… now the price is up 75% and value down 75%. That’s supply and demand.
By the way… its so darn hot in this restaurant right now its not bearable. At least open a door or something it’s only about 23 degrees out now and it feels like 33 in here. It’s unbelievable I ate as fast as I could and literally ran out. Not even kidding.
It’s a shame… there pho is good but noodles were done in 4 or 5 bites, etc etc. No value here I’d have to spend $40 per visit.
Being a traveled pho expert I can not recommend this place unless it’s location is convenient and you’re trendy.
