Amazing combination of flavors and textures here with their fresh vegetables. Food is ready fast and not too expensive. Get there early because they can run out of bahn mi’s, but the bowls are still good.

My husband and I ordered the Bandit Bowl with the bbq pork today at the street food hall and it was amazing!! The flavours were incredible, the pork was tender and the sauces paired well together. I have been craving it ever since and can’t wait to go back to order it again!

Yesterday we ordered 10-15 minutes before closing time. When the girl working called our number, she informed us that they were out of coriander leaves and asked if we were OK with zero coriander leaves in our food. I told her that I consider coriander the greatest culinary herb on earth on account of its capacity to render any applicable dish approximately 1.7 times more delicious by the simple of addition of fresh leaves on top, and that I consequently never would have ordered knowing there were no such leaves. She said she appreciates my high opinion of this herb and asked if there was something she could do for us instead. I said yes, that would be nice, and asked her for suggestions. She paused, but in the end did not suggest a thing! Instead, she mumbled something about another stall being the only other one using coriander leaves, but that it is closing now, and asked if we were OK having it like this. I know I probably should’ve pushed her for something, but I also don’t think one should have to when basic and critical mistakes of this kind are made. Instead, I am here writing this review. To top off this small coriander tragedy, as we were leaving, she called after us something like “hey, you know you ordered minutes before closing, right”, as though one has no right to be informed of or compensated for any faults if one orders within some unknown timespan before the officially listed closing time. I really think this was an astonishingly stupid and inconsiderate thing to say to a customer whose order you were not able to deliver. They should really put a time on their website before which one can order and not risk receiving the blame for their own negligence. 😉
My vegan girlfriend was unimpressed with the vegan Bandit Bowl (that it was bland and lacked sauce or other flavoured things). I greatly enjoyed the Bandit Bowl (with meat… and coriander leaves) I had some months ago. Yesterday I had the pork BBQ Bahn Mi. It was alright; it potentially could’ve been very good (perhaps even excellent?) with coriander leaves.
