Good Ultra crispy and very tasty. I paid 75k for one plate, which is totally fair.
I came only for this dish, so I took a Grab to get there. It’s very local and located in a neighborhood area.
As a tourist, I felt a little observed to see if I was eating it the proper way with the vegetables, but overall it was a good experience.

The banh khot here are deep fried which is a little unusual but they aren’t oily at all. No menu but they have two toppings: shrimp and squid. You can get green onions if you want and they come dusted with powdered shrimp. The veggies were fresh but we had to ask for more leaves for wrapping. Mix your own fish sauce and they have freshly ground chili paste. It comes with shredded papaya. All in all a fantastic food experience.

It looks oily during the cooking process, though, can assure you it isn’t when you eat it. A nice snack to have in between meals
Every plate is cooked fresh. Personally it does taste nice, and only a “must-try” spot if you’re looking to try some local snacks

I’m more of a noodle soup person but this was not a bad little place to eat some banh khot. It was crispy, delicous and the service was good. 100% would recommend.

Until yesterday, I was unfamiliar with Bahn Khot – which can be described as “Vietnamese Savory Mini Pancakes”. But now they might be my favorite dish in this glorious cuisine! You should not trust my judgment on this, but my wife was born in Vietnam, and you SHOULD trust her judgment. ; – )
She was thrilled with the Banh Khot which we enjoyed at this restaurant. It’s definitely worth the $3 Grab ride to get to this area from District 1.

I saw this place on IG. It’s not quite as traditional as the batter from the traditional ones are partially fried with a soft centre with coconut milk and sometimes mung beans but this one is thinner and fully submerged when deep fried, but the batter is light. It works well with the seafood and lightly sprinkled seasoning. I think the flavors work really well.
That said, I’m also craving the more traditional one too..

Small local place, on a busy street but they make the best bánh khọt I’ve ever had. Amazing crunchy cake and juicy seafood inside. Home made fish sauce is also good.
