We were craving steamed rice rolls so we stopped into BCLL for lunch. There was a 30 minute wait when we arrived at 12pm.
We ordered #11 (banh cuon) and #10 (rice noodle bowl). The banh cuon had a really chewy texture. It may look small, but it was pretty filling. The rice noodle bowl had a lot of toppings. Overall, this was a great value lunch spot.

I usually don’t crave for bang cuon but decided to tried with it since I’m visiting family here in Cali . The wait was over half an hour on a rainy day but worth it . Their banh cuon was fresh , uniquely made and delicious . Their fish sauce was a match paired with this heavenly dish . Their fish staffs was amazing also. Also their soup noodles are so flavorful and rich .

My first time trying BCLL. It’s definitely a 3.5/5
The banh cuon was thin without falling apart which is not common at other banh cuon restaurants.
The filling was small but fit in the banh cuon layer.
I ordered the Dac Biet option. It came with Mung bean, fried roll, tofu and Vietnamese ham.
I’m not a big fan of the mung bean cake.
They gave half of the fried spring roll which was bummer cause that was the best topping out of everything.
Cha gio was okay.
We ordered a side of grilled pork. That was okay too.
I would not come back.

This was the best banh cuon I’ve had since I moved to LA. Got the #1 combo plate with everything on it. The rice sheets are perfect and go so well with all the different toppings. The sauce is on the table and you mix in the chilli paste which is so absolutely bomb and legit with a real kick you can tell it’s made of fresh chillies. Overall everything just feels so fresh and refreshing and well prepared. This place was so good it’s got me thinking about it weeks after haha! Will definitely be coming back every time I’m in the area.

Small place accommodates about 20-30 tightly. Banh cuon was well portioned and well priced. Most importantly it came out super fresh within 5 minutes after the wait staff took orders. The wait staff was nice and patient. The place was packed during lunch hour on weekend so expect a wait.
The not so good – the restroom can be hazardous as half of the space was used for storage but managon the weekend

Small restaurant. We came around 8ish and already has a crowd. We orderd a special bánh cuốn, a grilled pork bánh cuốn, bánh canh, and nem. The food was okay. We liked the grilled pork bánh cuốn the most but that dish usually come with a tương sauce, but this store didn’t have it, so we ate with fish sauce, not the best. Their other bánh cuốn dish was not bad but nothing special. The udon – bánh canh was not met my expectations. The chả in my bánh canh was not fresh. I could tell they were previous frozen. The soup was ok, the chả cá and shirmp was good, the udon was ok. Their pork and beef nem was ok, I didn’t like too much red color, and a bit too much pork skin.

Pretty good place for lunch! Came here recently Sunday and it was packed—the restaurant is very small so there was a wait especially for a big table.
Recommend the Bánh Cuốn Đặc Biệt, which is the pork, shrimp and plain rice sheet combination platter that comes with several different food to try! The Bánh Tôm Cổ Ngư (shrimp and sweet potato fritter) was good, pretty crunchy too. Bánh Cuốn Thịt Nướng (grilled pork and veggies rice paper roll) was okay. We tried the Nem Chua Heo (fermented pork)—was not a fan. Wanted to try the Shrimp Rocket but they didn’t have it available that day.

supremely decent Vietnamese eat. however, I am not native enough for this offering, no lavo. I have desire to partake in the cultural aspect of these dishes, I long reach such level of understanding. bun rieu, the tomato paste soup was quite healthy and seafoody, the banh cuon cha ca was a cheor g fun with fried stick, and banh duc was not cheong fun but a more flakey rice coconut creation, and the two drinks that were mung bean based included pennywort and pandan both are quite healthy and everything was all around. definitely nutritional but little too legit for me

Waited about 40 minutes to eat here. It was well worth the wait. We ordered the grilled pork and veggies rice paper roll (#11) and the shrimp rocket (under appetizers). I didn’t know what to expect with the grilled pork roll, but was very pleasantly surprised. It was filling and refreshing. I totally understand why there is usually a wait! Will definitely be coming back here in the future.
