A great Thai spot in the Durham Region! The ingredients taste very fresh and the food had a very authentic flavour. They have some menu items that aren’t typical for Thai restaurants in the area and definitely worth trying! We really enjoyed their Thai fish cake and crispy pad Thai!
Seems like most people order take out from here. So we didn’t have any problems finding seating.

This is a great Thai snack shop with delicious food and fresh ingredients. The Thai milk tea is also excellent, and you should definitely try their fried chicken—it has a unique taste compared to other places I’ve tried! We love Thai cuisine, especially authentic flavors. We prefer this over restaurants that mix various Asian cuisines, which, although they offer many choices, fail to impress us with anything special. Thank you! We will definitely visit again. ❤️❤️❤️

Stopped by here as wife was craving khao soi which is great here. Everything else imo is not that great. Pad Thai could be a lot better. The chicken wonton felt like they were store bought and fried. The chicken satay I could barely finish/tolerate tasted like Costco already put together skewers like it’s chicken but doesn’t taste like fresh chicken almost like just bought like that, baked then over flame, the peanut sauce was horrible chunks of peanut didn’t have a balance at all. 3/5 ⭐️

I recently visited Bangrak and the food was pretty good for Durham region. I had the Kai Yang, I found the sticky rice to be a bit stiff but the chicken was good. The Thai iced tea was delicious. The only issue I had was how cold it was in there! There was no second door on the inside so everytime someone came in we got a wind of cold air.
It was nice that they had their own parking out back, although limited.
It was an overall 7/10 experience

Must enjoy the traditional Thai food here. Will keep coming back for more. Call to reserve if you are a big group.

Thai food in Brooklin and better than some places in Toronto. Food decorated with love and tastes great. The mango sticky rice desert was the best part.
There’s not much seating inside, but it gives you a cozy feel. I would go back.

Hidden gem in downtown Whitby. Although rhe place was small, we were seated quickly. The server was thai, although she didn’t speak English fluently her service was tentative. Food was goo, authentic.

Great place! Went there past lunchtime, so it was peaceful and quiet. The food came out on time, and they were GOOOD! We ordered Pineapple fried rice, Pad Ka Prao, Green Curry, Chicken wings and Thai tea. They were all really nice and tasted amazing! Will come back for the Mango Sticky Rice next time!
Highly recommend!!

Throughly enjoyed my experience at Bangrak. Our server Porruthai was so friendly, so helpful and so personable. She helped me and a group of friends order based on what we liked and in terms of allergies and stuff.
This place is great for casual dates, family gatherings or any type of social gatherings.
What we ordered
Apps
– Thai iced tea – perfect level of sweetness for me, some places usually make it too sweet.
– 2 types of chicken wings original and spicy larb (think spicy and tangy)
– chicken satay (4 skewers) delicious with the peanut sauce
– lunch special
Mains
– crispy pad thai shrimp and veggies made using deep fried egg noodles and a homemade sauce of tamarind, palm sugar and fish sauce. Its one of their top sellers and I can see why! Love the texture of this dish, its so unique! I have never tried a crispy version of pad thai before.
– street fried rice or Khao pad tammada. Love the veggies in this fried rice as I love Chinese broccoli
– pad kee maw or also called drunken noodles is one of my all time favourites to order! With fresh rice noodles, basil, chillies and finger root
– Pad Kra Tiam with chicken which is garlic chicken rice
– Khao soi beef, the beautiful curry dish with crispy egg noodles on the side, its delicious!
– tumtard, its a platter of papaya salad, bangrak grilled chicken, sticky rice, boiled egg, and Vietnamese pork sausage. The chicken is amazing and tasty
I was blown away with the dessert! I love mango sticky rice and they do it the best in my opinion! Firstly the sticky rice is infused with butterfly pea flower to make it a beautiful blue hue and the ample amount of sweet and salty coconut sauce topped over this with crunchy pieces of deep fried mung beans i believe with a side of perfectly ripe mangoes. Get this dish to end your meal, you won’t regret it!
Overall loved my experience here, would love to come back if I’m in the area. Please support small businesses in light of this crisis, they offer take out.

One of the best places for Thai food in Durham region. The food here is pretty authentic and was made really fresh. We got the fried rice, noodles and the green Thai curry. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were really fair. Might be a bit pricey but worth it. Will surely be back to try something else on the menu.
