Reviews
The rotis were especially impressive, soft, fresh, and truly home-style. The gravies were rich and flavorful, and the South Indian dishes had that authentic Bangalore touch. Portions were extremely generous and definitely value for money.
The service was warm and welcoming, and the recommendations were absolutely on point. Overall, a great place for comforting, authentic Indian food. Would definitely recommend trying it at least once and surely coming back again.
The restaurant is also very clean, with neat tables, tidy counters, and an overall pleasant dining environment. I always feel comfortable eating here because they clearly pay attention to hygiene and upkeep.
On top of that, the owner is extremely nice and friendly, and always makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The warm hospitality and great service really make this place feel like a home-style restaurant where customers are treated with respect and care
Highly recommend Bangalore Express if you’re looking for delicious food, cleanliness, and genuinely friendly service.
They have gratuity charges even for less people, it is written in the menu but easy to miss, so make sure you check that! Otherwise, good fast food place
We have been regular customers for 20 years, and we used to love coming here. The way we have been treated lately is sad, and today was the peak of rudeness. I left so sad at such extreme rudeness and lack of basic customer skills, not to mention loyalty to old customers
– After seeing your reply I have to laugh how immature and full of attitude you are. Being in the customer service industry, I thought you had the courtesy to apologize. We were stuck in snow and traffic and still chose your place for lunch. Your place was empty but you were sending us away counting the minutes when your lunch special was over. You neither deserve me, my family or friends coming to you. And with this approach no one really. Your choice whether you want to keep customers happy or not. Best of luck
– Unfortunately apologies cannot be pushed, I am just making you aware. We already took our business elsewhere, where we were treated with respect, thank you for suggesting this. As a matter of fact, we planned on ordering a number of items from your regular menu also, then as we walked in you had big boards there advertising your lunch special and since this was still displayed anyone would think that the special is still going on. So we would have ordered from the special plus more items, just to clarify your personal assumption that we only came for your special.
You are a walk-in neighborhood eatery, not a fine dining restaurant with reservations, that is why people come because they expect warmth and personal care. Unfortunately you have been becoming increasingly distant and rude over the past 2 years.
– tea was denied several times when waiting for a take out order or when you were randomly not making it
– my husband found plastic pieces in your chutney and did not make a big deal because out of loyalty coming to you for so long. I now regret not reporting this to other authorities
– customers incl us have been asked to leave a good review for you when paying to get a discount. Just to make others aware how you get all your good reviews online
I have successful background in the hospitality industry as well. If any and especially a long term customer is pushed to take ample time out and take their sadness public into a review, then this is a red flag. I don’t know who is writing these replies to me, but if the owner of Bangalore Express sees this customer treatment, he or she will be shocked. I am stating facts and voicing my sadness and dissatisfaction as a customer and you still do not understand the underlying issue which proves lack of customer care.
I am very happy to take the time and discuss any points further publicly if you want to go on with this.
To break it down for you, as stated in my very first sentence, this is not about your lunch special, it is about customer interaction and lack of flexibility.
