Opened in 1987, Bangkok West was the first Thai restaurant in Santa Cruz. Walk through the refreshing garden and into this heartwarming family restaurant where we welcome you with open arms to have a remarkable dining experience. Inside, our restaurant decoration included golden objects, wooded art, as well as unique pieces of pottery to make you feel as though you are visiting the beautiful country of Thailand. We also have a party room equipped for special occasions.

This is a place the deserves a visit just for the Thai decor, art , fine handicraft collection it holds ! A lush welcoming garden with multiple water features/ ponds is at the front .
They make vegetarian version of most dishes on their big menu. We had the fresh veg spring rolls that came with sweet plum sauce and peanut sauce . And then a hot pot of spicy Tom Kha soup – coconut milk with tofu & veggies.
They were both great .

Sunday night and the restaurant was full! Service was pretty fast and our food came out quickly as well. The spring rolls were great! We also ordered the spicy noodles however, there weren’t many noodles.

Great Thai option in Aptos in a beautiful setting. Food is very delicious and well prepared, service is decent and the ambiance is different.

Great lunch specials, beautiful interior, aromas and kitchen sounds as they prepare your lunch fresh to order. Our dishes were great. We ordered everything “authentic Thai spicy” but still not close to real Thailand spicy. It must be hard for them, people order spicy and then say it’s “too spicy” so the rest of us have to pay the price and never get authentic spice levels. I did drink three cups of ice water though . Anyhow, loved it. ❤️ ️

So I’ve ordered to go from here before but last night was my first time dining in and it was Amazing! It is so beautiful inside, it feels like you are in Thailand. The way they have decorated the restaurant is beyond amazing. The owners and staff are so friendly and sweet. The food is a 10! Everything was cooked perfectly. Presentation was perfection. I can’t wait to go back!

We enjoyed the salmon curry lunch special. It came with fresh veggies that were perfectly slightly undercooked. The service was excellent, but never rushed. The servings are plentiful with enough for two people (or leftovers for dinner as we did). We will be back!

A quite and cozy place with very good food. We ordered fresh veggie rolls, seafood coconut milk soup, red and yellow curry. Yummy. We were seated outside with our dog #RRMars, by the beautiful garden. Coconut soup was no gluten and no dairy.

Just finished eating here for the 1st time. I ordered my pad Thai to go and it was ready when I got there and still piping hot. The flavors are great! One of the better pad Thai I’ve had. Will definitely be back again!
